Played yesterday and POP was 3 H. Course is in good shape at the moment, but IMO I think they have a drainage issue? Reason I say that, is that many of the fairways are just too wet? Other than that issue, the overall course condition is very good. Tee boxes are (IMO) a little beat up, but playable; fairways (other than the wet ones) provide good lies and roll; bunkers are all clean/raked and playable; no rough to speak of, but you do have areas of OB that can cause issues, if not careful; greens are very good at present, unless you play really early before the mowing, then you will have wet/slow greens (normal). Customer service is excellent at all levels, including the restaurant. Even if you don't play golf, Birdies has an all day menu from opening to close and their prices are fantastic.

Played today in a nice time of 3 H. Course was a little over watered today, which slowed things down on fairways/greens. No doubt it was better when things dried out, but an early round was difficult under these conditions. Tee boxes were clean/level; fairways provided good lies but no roll; rough was about 1/2 inch, wet and hard to play out of; bunkers were just fine; greens, while looking good, were wet/slow. Customer service was good. Restaurant was doing brisk "eclipse" business this AM.

Played a nice round on Saturday back at Alhambra on Saturday with fellow GKer Kassper7 and another buddy, walking from the blues at 10:42am and paying I believe just under $40 with a push cart. That's such a good deal for this wonderful little course. It's always apparent that the staff and maintenance crew here really take pride in putting out a good product. Alhambra has its limitations as a golf course, as in it's very short and can often be described as a 'confidence course' in many ways (although I still believe the GK rating for this course is a bit too low), but it does have some tricky holes without a doubt and while you will often drive and chip, your short game better be up to snuff as there are some fun elevations here to deal with around certain greens. Course conditions are also reflective of a staff that cares. There is some very nice coverage in most of the fairways, but you will find the occasional dried out area here and there, but for the most part good lies all day. The rough is nice to hit from - not penal in any way, but lush. Tee boxes for the most part are okay, but a few need to be tended to soon. And the sand traps were not as fluffy as usual, but okay to play from this weekend. Greens were very receptive to shots and rolled at about medium speed. The practice putting green was much faster than the course greens at the start of the day, but caught up by the end. Noticed a few too many ball marks on the greens for my liking from lazy guests, but the staff continues doing a nice job overall with the greens. Nothing too tricked out here either on the green complexes. So yes, really good time to head out to Alhambra if you want to feel like a big hitter, get in some great short game work, and enjoy a nice day out at a fun facility that cares about your business. Never disappointed after a round here.

Played today as first off and POP 2H 30M. Course is in great shape and today we stayed behind the mowers on the greens and were rewarded with great putting services. Tees great; fairways very nice; bunkers very playable; no rough (thx) and greens terrific. Also, if you have not had food in Birdies, do so. All day anytime menu, great food and great service (best place to eat IMO in many of the golf course restaurants). Also, terrific customer service in the pro shop (thanks Pete).

Played today in a 2.5 POP. We had a mix bag of greens to putt on, as we got out early and had to follow maintenance. Those that were cut and clean, great. Those that were still wet and not mowed obviously played more difficult (guess we need to slow down :). Fairways are still in good shape, as they have plenty reclaimed water to put on them (actually some of them seemed to wet). Bunkers were fine and heard no complaints. Little of any rough and what there is, is playable. Tee boxes were all OK. Customer service excellent (thank you Peter and the great ladies in Birdies) at all levels.

Tee boxes, clean/level/playable; fairways provided good roll and lies all round; bunkers were clean and playable, no issues; very little rough and whats there, is playable; found the greens being mowed in front us and they chipped/putted just fine. Customer service was excellent at all levels.

I have not played this course since 2011, so was looking forward to my return. I've always enjoyed playing here, but it's not convenient to home and past experience has proven it can be rather busy early in the morning. Arrived at 5am, pro shop was open before 5:30 and allowed us to get right out. Great customer service.

I was blown away by what great overall condition the course was in. The greens were not cut, but still rolled very well and were receptive to the shots. (even backed a few up!) I'm certain once they were mowed the speed would have been fine, but I found them a bit on the slow side with all the morning dew. Fairways were very nice, in some areas ..... exceptional. Not in any bunkers, but they appeared OK.

While on the first tee a gentleman approached me and asked if I was "Weber". I had no idea what he wanted, until he identified himself as 24hourgolf. I was a bit taken back, but it is now nice to put a face to the name. It was nice to meet you Larry, if only for a moment!

Enjoyed a beautiful fun morning round of golf and finished right at 8am, beating the heat. Already looking forward to returning to play here again

Tee boxes just fine; fairways green, rolling and good lies; virtually no rough to speak of; greens were in great shape, as they were mowed/clean and chipping/putting just fine. Customer service excellent (thanks Pete). No time today to enjoy the food and great prices at Birdies.

Early morning tee time out in front of the junior tournament. Check in was smooth and starter was very friendly. Course is very green and well taken care of. Some tee boxes not level and had to move around for a level spot. Fairways, rough and greens were lush and full. All greens had multiple unfixed ball marks tried to fix as many as possible without slowing down play. Greens were smooth and little on the slow side. Traps had good sand. Course is a little on the short side but is fun.
