This course has never been better, the greens now accept shots and still roll perfectly. They have made the course more player friendly by widening some landing areas. The tee boxes are being fertilized but otherwise entire course in excellent condition. Lucky to play on birthday where policy is free golf with someone paying full price, but $109 during week and $188 on weekends is a bit much, worth it every now and then, pace of play 3 hours 10 minutes!!!

Played Monday, 10/25 just before noon. It was a little windy off and on, but not bad at all. The course is in nice condition. The fairways are lush, the rough is a little spotty. Thick in spots and thin in other areas. The greens rolled true but were slow for Angeles National. The sand in the one bunker I was in was excellent. They have opened up the course just a little. Some of the ESA's have been reduced in size, making some of the landing areas a little wider than I remember from a year or so ago. One of my drives was in good position on the right side of the fairway. As I got to my ball, I realized that this was once part of the ESA. So the course is a little more forgiving than it has been in the past. I went out as a single. I never caught up with anyone. I finished the round in under 3 hours, and I often hit two balls. The course is very playable right now. I thoroughly enjoyed the round.

Played early on Wednesday. My playing partner and I pretty much had the course to ourselves. I think that the price for the round exceeds the value provided. I enjoy playing this course and find it a challange for my game. Staff was great from the time arrived and dropped off my clubs all the way through lunch. However, there are good alternatives for my golfing dollar that provide the same environment for a great deal less. I'm sure that many other golfers have come to the same conclusion. In addition, I found that the condition of the course was lacking. The greens were great, but the rough was almost bare almost the entire course. It's intersting that the course will not permit golfers to retrieve errant shots from the natural habitat areas that border much of the course, yet there was a guy out there in the same area with his falcon hunting for small animals. While it was interesting to observe, I'm not sure that the rule for golfers makes sense. Still, with all of the snakes in the area I'm not sure I'd want to be roaming for golf balls.

Played 8/08/10, course was in very good shape. Greens were very true and rolled smooth, about medium speed due to green aeration a little over a month ago. Played in the afternoon so alway seems to be a little wind. Green fee is pricey, but I played at discounted rate of $70.00. Green fees a lot better value in the inland empire courses with the same playing conditions. Clubhouse is nice. I think they're trying to make up money for that. So I'll continue to play a lot more in the Riverside county courses.

However, at $109 for a weekday....just not worth that kind of dough. Hardly anyone there. Hmmmm...wonder why?

Played today, June 22, 2010. Finally, Angeles has become the course it should have always been.. its much more wide open and aesthetically pleasing to the eye and more user friendly for the golfer. Still very expensive at resident rate of $66.00 at 3:00pm. My buddy paid $89.00 for twilight. What we found in PRO V1's made up for the cost a little bit. We shot in the low 90's when before that would have been difficult with the waste areas that they've since removed. Fairways and greens were the best Ive ever seen them in 6 years of playing there.

Bushes and trees i used hit into, arent there anymore. The cart paths are also new. No dirt paths, but rubber material paths. The new clubhouse is also nice. Not sure if the course is worth the green fee though(109 weekday)

Played in a private event 4/29/10. The course is in immaculate condition right now. There have been many upgrades since I last played here. Notably, there is more grass and landscaping and less desert/rocks/cactus. Intimidating carries over rocky desert terrain has, for the most part, been softened by more sod and flowers. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of forced carries and shot selection is crucial. Fairways and greens are firm, so expect to get some roll. Nice upgrades to the cart paths and the new clubhouse serves excellent food. Customer service is top notch as always.

well played here on 2/9/10 played before the rain came played for 65 bucks for resident with cart good price course was in great shape except for holes 4and 5 were closed cause it was flooded with mud o well i have a 26 handicap and shot a 99 for 16 holes tough course but fun to play for a discount and not worth the 190 bucks on weekends but great custmor service all around
