not the best i've seen this course. it's still better than most, but for the money they are charging, it should be immaculate. the greens were slower than usual (in comparison to other courses, they still are smooth and fast) and the dreaded unrepaired ball marks have showed up. the first green was the most beat up i've ever seen it. still a good time had, just wish the greens were faster and the rates were lower.

Marshall told us he was instructed by the pro shop not to hassle anyone so he was basically just driving around sightseeing all day. A good course but it is pricey for a place with no clubhouse/rest. etc.

Yeah, I'd agree. Obviously scripted comments from those folks below. We "real" golfers don't speak so eloquently! It's a nice course, but won't be a regular in my rotation.

Golfers dont be fooled. The below listed positive comments from Twildey, Curtisjung, Willbone, Boba1949, Theshul and Bigmikepape are most likely from staff at Angeles National. See the comments regarding the staff and the repetition of the phrase "Worth every penny/money."

This course is rumored to have financial problems which explains why they have not moved forward aggressively with building a clubhouse. I dont care what excuses they will give you, the bottom line is that the clubhouse is not built. The staff, marshalls and employees are very disgruntled which is a common complaint from many golfers.

They are capable of turning things around, but seem to have an eliteist attitude when they are located in a middle class neighborhood.

The course is not worth the money as it is very expensive for the facilities provided and for the poor customer service. Course is in very good condition, but after only being a year old, it should be. Lets see what happens in two years.

Played here again today and had a good round. They just came out of overseeding so the fairways are still a little thin. I had at least two shots that were dead center in the fairway where my second shot was negatively effected by the lack of full growth. The course is a few eeeks away from being truly back to the condition you expect here.
Also-play is slower than usual because they are "cart paths only" until the end of this month.
I will wait another month or so before playing again as the course is clearly not in the shape I expect for $100 rounds.

Just had to say..... great course....good scenery......good mix of holes....... too expensive.......yada yada yada.......TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The &ssh*le marshall actually tried to force me to hit from the short tees. I kindly refused and it caused a big ruckuss. It was like I was breaking the law or something. He got on his walkie-talkie, next thing, the Spanish Inquisition shows up squaking something about index of 0 to 5...yada yada yada. At the timeI didn't carry an index, I just gave out strokes. I'm a scratch flatbelly rarin' to turn professional.

So, I just ignored everybody and proclaimed that I was a paying customer and I had the right to hit from whichever tees I fancied. I proceeded to launch a drive 330 down the middle whiched promted them to shutup, immediately.

I then went out and shot 2 under par from the back tee markers. Finished in four hours flat, all over the group in front of us....Now what's the big hairy deal with hitting from the back tee!!!???

I think the old marshalls and incoherent staff are just jealous of a player who can actually score from the back tee.....that's what I think! Their all just jealous and intimidated by a player of my caliber. AAARRRGGHHHH!!!!! I will play here again for sure. And I will tee up and aim right at the window of the new clubhouse, whenever it gets built!!

Good tee boxes, Good fairways, Good greens. They should use dirt cart paths....less concrete better.
