Hey there golfers. Played Daimond Bar golf course Sunday 4/21. Greens were rolling good. Overall course shape was decent. But where I had the problem was in the pro shop. We started at least 20 mins past our tee time. We get to the 1st tee and there are 4 groups ahead of us. The group in front of us is a 4 some, all beginners, and one lady who was with a guy in the group didn't have her own set of clubs. This slowed us down big time cuz she would hit 10 yds then hit another 10 yds and no one told her to pick up after 20 strokes, plus she had to run to the bag to get other clubs. I called the pro shop on the 1st tee to let them know about this and the guys says, "I know, I let them play any way". Unreal. Other than that and the 5:45 round time, everything was good.

4-16-12 played today with a 5some of us. Boy, was it slow out there today. Pace of play was over 5 hrs. Now, about the course. Really can't find anything wrong the course today. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were pretty good. The greens were really fast, which I liked. The bunkers had nice fluffy sand in them.

Played here 4/05/12 the starter wrote my name down wrong, so I waited an extra hour before teeing off. The greens are in the best shape I've ever seen here, rolling about 10 1/2 to 11( very fast). The fairways are always a bit thin in places, especially on the back nine. There is quite a bit of maintenance on the back nine dealing with drainage issues. Over all a good long track with greens that you can putt. This course is one of my regulars.

We played a round today, it took us around 6 1/2 hours to finish the game... too much I would say. In a Wednesday, the marshal was trying to push the pace, but a fivesome was killing the pace of all. The course is nice, the sound of the highway beside it is monstrous. We couldn't concentrate the entire game because of the constant rumbling, which at the end it got us both in a bad mood. Some fairways are under repair so its awful to shoot from bare dirt not even yellow grass. In general, I wouldn't recommend traveling more than 15 minutes to play here, but if your drive is 15 minutes or less, then it's fine, wear some headphones the entire game and you might even enjoy it...

I gave Diamond bar another chance this past week and I was very disappointed again, and it really takes a lot to make me feel that way. I was there for the twilight as a single, had to wait 1/2 hour for the shop to check me in, then sent to the 1st Tee to joining a 4 to make it a 5 some, and we were 5th up. Got there at 1.00 Pm and was teeing off at 2.15 PM. after that there was 3 groups waiting on every tee, by 8th I decide to call it quits and go home. The course was OK, it's usual unrepaired ballmarks on greens and unfilled fairway divots, typical for a Muni. This is the last time I go to Diamond Bar, after several new opportunities for the last 4 or 5 years I have finally got that this is the way it is and it won't change. I was literally taking a brief nap while waiting on every tee, so if you like naps between holes, by all means go to Diamond Bar. :-)

Nice course, and you get lots of time to enjoy it as most rounds are in the 5 to 5 1/2 hour range. Course is in great shape, especially considering the time of year. Greens are quick and for the most part roll true with an occasional bump here and there. Give a bit extra on the break. Fairways were great as well. Tee boxes are very nice, flat and can see they worked on this part. Didn't hit a bunker today, but looked nice. I like the layout here, and mostly a flat course with an occasional hill or two if you spray your ball, and a big hill on the par 3 hole 9. I like the layout and will be back again, since 26 to walk during the week.

Lots of improvements here since I last played. Tee boxes look brand new and very nice. Greens are smooth as well and must better than my last visit a few months ago.
Fairways & rough both are good too. It is a good time to play here.
Price is nice as well, as it was $26 bucks to walk on a weekday.
The problem still is the pace, the front 9 took 3 hours, and back 9 was 2 hours, but I'll still come back.
