Played 3/20/15 with 3 buddies. Course was in good shape. The greens were fast and firm, despite the punch holes. Bunkers were nice and fluffy with good sand. FWYS were thin and good. POP was bad though. We walked and still stayed with the group in front of us in carts. Not a fan of the non-residence fees that they charge, which is the reason We don't play here more often.

Played 3/6/15 w/2 friends. The course was in really good shape. Tee boxes were in some bad slope spots. Fairways and greens were really good, fast and firm. The tree lined course is a little more difficult than you would think. POP was terrible though. 2 many 5somes on the course. Besides the POP, the bunkers were the only other problem. No sand in some, deep sand in others, with no way of telling how deep it is. If they can r-sand the bunkers and play 4's, it would be one of the best courses out there.

Played in a tournament here on 2/22/15. The course was in good shape. The greens were really good, but rolled slower than they looked. Tee boxes and fairways were in pretty good shape. Bunkers had thin sand in it, not bad, just thin. POP was not bad for a tournament.

Played 10/19/14 with the L.A. County golf club. Course is in good condition. Greens were perfect, held shots and rolled pretty true. Fairways were good for Victoria. Bunkers were in good shape, I tested them twice, lol. Rough was decent. Always have a great time here.

Played today 9-22-14 for the super Monday price. I have to agree with the last review here, this course is in bad shape. Tee boxes were horrible, no clean or level spots to hit from. Fairways were good, bunkers were that crunchy sand/dirt, but not hard. Rough was rough. Greens were good, but too wet all around them. My playing partner actually slipped from it being too wet while walking off the 3rd hole and fell down. POP was decent, but the course was pretty packed. Grass clippings all around the greens, in piles, and the greenskeeper a were cutting the grass everywhere we were after 10:30 am!

After playing here on 9-14-14, couldn't wait to get back, and even brought a friend to play. What a difference 2 weeks make! Played on 9-19-14, and have to say, it was different than my 1st experience there. POP and back 9 greens were bad.

POP was terrible for me and my buddy on the front 9. Got paired with 2 ladies that were interested in talking to each other than playing. How many times can you constantly say to a pair "you can go ahead and hit now"? Apparently, 9+ times! like on every hole. Finally they got the hint when we just started playing ahead of them from the 7th hole on.

The greens were horrible! The bad part, the aerated front 9 greens were much better than the non punched back 9! It was like putting on shag carpet, no putts held the line, and it was a slower than the front 9 or putting greens.
The starters(both of them), were really nice in getting us a cart and getting us out on the tee. The starter/Marshall was a really nice and funny guy, and I actually saw him out on the course a few times.

Not a big fan of courses that charge you to use the chipping greens and have dirt ranges, so I didn't get to warm-up like I wanted to.

Played today 9-11-14 as a single. The good: Played on the Roger Dunn birdie card, so only payed $20 w/ cart. The starter got me right out. The greens were great, smooth and ran really good with a few unfixed divots. The bad: almost everything else. Every tee fairway seemed to have a waste bunker/river bed right next to it. Almost every tee box was elevated, which was kind of fun, until you get in the fairway and have no idea where the greens are! Luckily, I played with a guy who plays there often and he pointed me in the right directions. Don't think I'll be back here again.

Played the back 9 on 9-6-14 with a friend. He course is in a lot better shape than the last time I played it. The tee boxes were o.k., and the fairways had GRASS on them. But like was already stated they seemed to think if they overwater it, it's going to make it better, but it made it worse. The greens here though, are probably some of the best you can play next to a Country Club or Lakewood (on tournament day). They rolled fast and true. If they can continue to improve the fairways, and not overwater so much, his will be a fantastic course to play and bomb on.

Played on 9-5-14 which 2 friends. Like what was said, the course is in O.K. condition. Tee boxes were decent, no major damage. The fairways were in good shape and rolling out good. Bunkers were gravelly, but playable. The greens were atrocious. It was like putting on shag carpet. We played @11:30, so it wasn't too late in the day where it would start growing already. Slow and shaggy and damp. They really need to take a look @ the greenskeeper and make sure they're doing their job.

Played today 09-03-14. POP was great for the 1st 9(1:45), decent for the back 9(2:30). Played as a 2some, no one infront until the the 6th hole. a 5some on 10 let 1 pair by, but decided to hit when we got to the tee box, slowing everything down. The tee boxes were in good shape. The fairways had a lot of bare spots, and they over-watered a lot of them. Greens were rolling good, and deceptively fast. BUnkers had that hard crunchy dirt instead of sand, but played good.

Would definitely come back. as it has a lot of tricky holes for a 1st timer.

Played 5/24/14. Got a chance to play this course, it was a nice course, but not worth the $$$ they charge non-residents. Greens were hard and slow for most of the holes, but fast on 10-13. Liked putting on the bent grass greens. Fairways, tee boxes and bunkers were good. Customer service was decent. POP was slow due to the guys that I played with. Range was so-so, but for the money I would have thought they would have pristine range balls and a grass range.
I get to knock another course off my bucket list. Will I be back, only if I can get on for the resident rate, definitely not worth what I paid for it.

Played 5/2/14- even though this is my home course, haven't played here in about 2-3 months. They are doing a lot of work to improve the course. They've either moved bunkers or added new ones on holes 1-5,14,& 18. POP was decent, played in about 4-4.5 hrs. Really don't have a lot of complaints, but the Marshall's should have water barrels on their carts and ride around to the holes and give some to the players. Other than the starter Jason( who is a jerk), don't really have a lot of complaints.
