Played here Monday. 9 at twilight is a great deal especially if you can finish before it gets dark.

Greens have healed and look healthy. Also appears they are trying to get them to run faster as greens show a little more firmness. Well struck putts will hold their line but bounce a lot on their way near the hole. My advice, bring your 4x4 ball. Greens however are very receptive. Fairways have good coverage. Rough is mixed bag of thin to hard-pan to deep rough. Bunkers is also a mixed bag but firm -- even green-side bunkers. Tee Boxes are uneven but playable.

Pace of play at this course is normally 2 hours for 9 holes but you get these sweet spot times where you can literally finish in an hour. That also is a mixed bag. It's a regulation course with only 9 holes; a great way to satisfy your golf urges and still be home for hot, cooked meal.

Greens were punched with smaller tines; no sand. Greens were receptive but did not hole their line with putts. You could see your ball bounce all over the place with a decent struck putt. Not fun especially with makeable 6-5 footers. Fairways had good coverage. Rough was thick and very penal. Bunkers (did not hit any of them) were hard packed -- light layer of gravel/sand with hard base underneath. Tee boxes were flat for the most part.

Pace of play slow for Harbor. Finished 9 holes in 2 1/2 hours. Still a great way to nip that golf bug for $17 to play during the day and $11 for twilight.

After Ringworld's latest review and the itch late on Sunday to at least play nine holes, decided to go back to my old HP stomping ground for just the second time this year. Was pleasantly surprised by the conditions.

Paid $26 for the regulation nine holes with a push cart as well. Finished with a POP of around 2.5 hours. Blue tees with three other nice guys I got paired up with.

Fairways actually looking rather lush and healthy, but of course you can find a few thin spots towards either widths of the fairways. The rough can be a little thick in some areas (with a lot of annoying tree roots just at the surface so be careful) and also thin and annoying in others. Sand did not look too great for others or visually, but I avoided them all day.

Greens were definitely in good shape for all the traffic HP gets, but rolling around medium speed and bumpy in spots, while on the second hole there is a large burned out area to avoid. Tee boxes are nothing to write home about, but mostly get the job done, but could definitely be a bit flatter.

It's a good course to walk, actually has some fun and interesting holes and is a good bargain to scratch that itch if you don't have time or just want to hit the sticks a bit for nine.

Played today at Twilight (1st group) not bad for just $11 and 9 holes. Finished in just under 2 hours.

Greens looking decent. Folks FIX your divots. They are a bit bumpier in the afternoon sun and slower but a good firm putt typically keeps your ball on line.

Fairways had good coverage and nice cushioning. Rough is thick or spotty take your pick. Bunkers have this fine dust to thick, grainy sand. Tee boxes were for the most part level and playable. Overall not a bad deal for the price and walking. Excellent way to nip your golf urges in the bud.

Played Tuesday 9/12 and found the course in very good shape. The fairways, for the most part, were lush with a few bare spots and an occasional divot. While I was playing, the lawnmowers were out in force and they were cutting the rough which I found fairly deep for Harbor. The greens were for the most part, the best I have seen all year with an occasional divot mark and/or bare spot. I am so glad that I have this wonderful 9 hole regulation course close to where I live.

Played here on 8/5. First time as I don't tend to play many nine hole courses.

Tee boxes were nice.
Fairways were in good condition. Very, very few problem areas. Rough was good and just long enough to keep things interesting.
Bunkers were very good.

Great place to get in some golf without committing to a full 18. 22.00 to walk on the weekend is a good price IMO.

Greens in fine shape. Perhaps best I have seen them in a LONG while. They are keeping the course moist with the heat so don't expect a lot of roll out. Greens rolled fairly true with medium slow speed. Not a lot of bumps but you will get that with the setting sun -- it's only natural. During the morning and mid day hours expect your ball to roll fairly true. Fairways are thick and spongy. Definitely what I would call well padded fairways. Not a lot of thin lies like you would expect at Alondra. Still there are some thinning spots but from the watering you could tell they are trying to remedy the situation. Bunkers are OK. They have sand -- compacted with loads of foot traffic just to add that challenge to your shot out of a hazard. Tee Boxes are mostly bowl shaped but use your two club lengths to find yourself a flat spot so quite frankly deal with it.

Pace of play in the morning is slow. Expect a long-ish round.

Walked the Blues (3148/34.9/118) in 2H, 45M midday. This is a 9 hole course, so that equates to a 5 1/2H 18. The weather was clear & hot.

Started as a 4some. A husband and wife quit after 1 hole, they were probably 80+ and the heat was more than they bargained for. Played the next 5 holes as a 2some with a nice retired gentleman from Chicago. He grew annoyed with the antics of the 4some in front of us and rode in from the 7th tee. It was before noon, and the group in front was flat out drunk. Yelling at each other, yelling at people in alternate fairways. I let the 5some behind join me for the final 2 holes. As a 6some, we were still waiting every shot for the 4some in front of us.

First time I played here since the early 1980's, I have fond memories of this course. My wife used to work for a small company that closed early on Wed. afternoons and the entire staff came out and played 9 holes twilight as a team bonding experience. I remembered a fun layout, actually recognized most of the holes.

The tees were thin and pretty chewed up.

Both the fairways and rough had decent coverage. They could best be termed thin with occasional patches of lush turf.

The sand traps were not that well maintained. Lots of footprints, but the sand quality was decent in the ones I was in.

The greens were definitely the highlight of the course. Fairly smooth, medium speed and they held well struck irons well.

The customer service of the starter was excellent. No drink cart, but they had a restaurant onsite that was doing a brisk business. Nice short game practice area out front. The price for 9 is a little steep, but they offer a reduced rate replay based on availability that would not be that bad for 18 holes. In spite of the mediocre playing conditions and terrible POP, I enjoyed getting reacquainted with "Ringworld Country Club"... If I lived closer, I would work it in because I enjoy the layout.

Greens have healed well this season. From green to green they were somewhat consistent with speed so fairly easy to predict distance. They rolled medium-fast to medium slow. You could tell the fast greens by the color of the green (more yellowish were firmer greens).

Fairways had good coverage. Rough was very thick and sticky. Bunkers had sand but hard packed. Tees were relatively flat.

Pace of play was terrible for 9 holes but it was a Friday at 2.5 hours for 9 holes.
