I did not play this course...but after waking up at 6:45 A.M. trying to call for their "special on the 25th" and getting thru by 7:15 and I was told, oh, there is a tournament that day on both courses for members only. F!@# that, what a way to get below average income people to try your course. The soonest tee time was at 4:20. Gee thanks...great public relations, wouldn't play here if it was FREE. There are way too many specials to be had, to be screwed over.

Course condition in general is excellent, well worth the fee charged. There are couple of negatives though::::::::

I do agree with the previous comment made by another greenskeeper "Only negative is the trek from the 9th hole to the 10th tee. The tram is not working so you must drive the cart all the way to the 10th tee box. This forces you to travel back through the second and first hole while other golfers are teeing off directly into you."
Another neg point is the sand condition. The depth of the sand in a bunker is usually too shallow. The sands is like caked. These two conditions combined can easily ruin your round by causing home run shots out of bunker into god knows where. It happened too many times to our foursom.

I played this course on the 13th. I must say that it was in excellent condition overall except the greens were quite bumpy. Maybe it was because we played twilight, but I don't recall ever seeing the greens being that way. Other than that, I always enjoy playing here. For less than $60, you get some really quality golf in the heart of L.A.

A deal at twilight and a great course with lots of elevation change. It's a good thing they require a cart!

Great track. We were probably third group out, so greens were very smooth. Fairways lush. Some tee boxes hacked up a little, but no biggie. A must play.

Went back on 6/8 and had a great experience. Course is in excellent condition, tee to green. Only negative is the trek from the 9th hole to the 10th tee. The tram is not working so you must drive the cart all the way to the 10th tee box. This forces you to travel back through the second and first hole while other golfers are teeing off directly into you. Keep the windshield in the fully up mode for some protection. I can only imagine someone is going to get hit in the face before too long.

Not an easy course by any means. But if you have an index of less than 18, then you should be just fine. Definitely worth the green fees during the weekday.
