Played 11-02 in Bigdogs tournament. Course track is challenging, but easy enough for every level player, not overly long and the par three's are manageable. Some of the tee boxes are not level and it was hard to find a spot where it felt like you could stand comfortably. The greens were very bumpy, but most of the ball marks seemed to be tended to. The speed of the greens were pretty good, if you allowed for the rough roll to the hole.
The weather was perfect and the company was outstanding. Had a great time out there. Another great outing hosted by a great couple. Thank you!

Played 10/27 Sat. Fairways are in good shape. Bunkers were not too good. One was wet and another was hard soil. Greens are very soft and speeds are bit slow. Nothing to brag about except they did... Continue »

Allows fivesomes, SLOW. Greens were a mess. However, very cheap!! $28 - walking. Do they have a Marshall here?

Some colleagues of mine set up a tee time here, so I thought I would get in a round before Big Dogs tourney next month. Checked Greenskeeper, noticed the green aeration alert, it was good to know because it would have been very frustrating otherwise. Oh, the starter made no mention of the green maintenance, nor that he had just sent out a SIXsome, then a Fivesome in front of us! Shame on you Knollwood. It made for an upsetting day of golf, I played pretty well actually, but lets get realistic here. Gee, could they have, lets say put two foursomes and a threesome out? Yes we were behind eleven in two groups. Considering, they were OK as far as pace was concerned. They should have not been playing the blue tees.
No matter,... waiting for six guys on one hole to hit, find ball, hit, putt, then five guys, then our foursome, the poor two guys behind us... I asked them several times if they wanted to join us, because obviously there were no rules out there as to how many footprints you could put on a green per group, but they declined. No marshal on the course, despite two phone calls to the starter, until the 16th, and then he didn't do anything.
No beverage cart until driving up the 18th fairway, again.. thanks.
It is a shame, this is a nice track, the greens will eventually be good, but the service? forget it. play somewhere else. There are many good choices around

Thank God there was a breeze and shade. Thanks again for BigDog for arranging this tournament event. Course played quickly but for some reason we finished in around 5 hours. There wasn't a group in front or behind except towards 5-6-7. Greens were in good shape but slow for my taste. Sand looks ok but is compacted. Rough is trouble so stay out of it. Tee boxes are flat. Course overall is in good shape. No complaints just a great day to play golf.

Knollwood is in good condition. greens are running very well..a little dry in the fairways but no complaints and worth the play...plus i shot my best round 71...

Played twilight here on Sunday, July 22. We started about 1/2 hour later than our scheduled tee time. We managed to get 16 holes in before it got dark. The greens are in great shape. But we noticed there were lots of unrepaired ball marks on the greens. I noticed on some of the putts that some of the greens were a little bumpy in spots. The fairways were lush in some spots, a little bit bare in other spots.

And on the driving range, the balls were in real bad shape (they were really beat up). You can't tell how far your drives are going on the driving range here. Balls were cut up and the logos/marks on the balls were really faded.

Greens are in EXCELLENT shape and will continue to be, but only if EVERYBBODY fixes their F****** ball marks. Please people, it isn't that hard to take 10 seconds to bend your lazy A** down and repair... Continue »
