I have played this course ever since moving to Los Angeles in 1970, and while I only play here about once a year now, I can confirm the prior feedback comments .... the greens are by far the best I've ever seen them! In fact the entire course, with the exception of the tees, is in the best condition I've seen it. My compliments to the County and/or the greenskeeper for such improvement.

Shut the hell up. Otherwise, the fairways are near perfect as were the greens. Rough was way up and lush. Gotta be a strong driver to score well here. Good test of golf. OJ is missing out.

Been a while since I played here, but it looked great, except the tee boxes (Like others have said before me). Greens were very soft, and lets you stick them close, but the uphill approaches are still tricky. They have cut many large fringes which leads to approaches that makes it look like yer ball will bounce up but often stick short. Fairways were great for a course that gets a lot of play and like always, the pace of play was slow because of 5-somes.

Played on 6-27. Had a great time. The greens were really slow in the morning but then they got fast has the dew wore off. Greens were in great shape, but to me they were a little hard to read sometime... Continue »

Greens were in great shape, but to me they were a little hard to read sometimes. Teeboxes were very bad. They were dry and uneven. But overall a great time if you feel like pounding the ball ff the tee every time.

Played in a tournament on 6/28. Unbelievalbe rough, deep and very difficult to advance your ball from. Fairways were a little long, but lush, greens look good, but were bouncy and slow. I think everything needs to be cut. Round was very slow, over 5.5 hours. Staff was very courteous. Decent course, but not worth a drive normally.

Bottom line, I liked this course, except for the crappy tee boxes. Almost all were sloped. The funniest ones were when you had a dog-right and the tee box slopes left...just seemed to be a bit count... Continue »

Bottom line, I liked this course, except for the crappy tee boxes. Almost all were sloped. The funniest ones were when you had a dog-right and the tee box slopes left...just seemed to be a bit counter-intuitive. The greens, unfortunately were being aerated so I can't truly comment on that. I was pin-high most of the time, so putting wasn't too bad. This was a fun course...but not a good one for those that can't usually keep it in their own fairway...you know those of you who I'm talking about. Most times, there are fences or streets, so if you hit it out, it's gone. But, the fairways are of very reasonable width. Weekend play sucks when you have slow, 5-somes, and the worst are when they don't have carts. I think to speed up play, they should mandate carts on weekends before twilight. It took over 3 hours to play the front 9, and after that, we skipped ahead and was able to play the back 9 a bit faster.

Played on a Wed. afternoon and got off the 1st tee without a tee time before I could get my clubs out of the car.Played here many times because it is so close and that remains the best reason for playing it.The greens are in the best shape they have been in for a while.As normal the fairways are a bit dry in some areas.Sand was harder than I recall ,I think some new sand is needed.Tee boxes overall in good shape.I take large divots with my irons and they have sand in the bottles on the carts instead of dirt and seed, I think the sand would be better off in the traps and not the bottles.Still better to play there than to be a work!
