Correction to my previous review: the date should be Sunday, March 27, 2011. The rating I gave seems a little low. That is a reflection on the conditions when we played; I am sure I would rate this much higher if the weather had allowed better maintenance over the last week or so of torrential rains.

Played 3/26 at 11:56, $41.99 GolfNow rate. Got off 20 minutes late. Round lasted 6.5 hours! I could stop there, but more detail is warranted. The tee boxes were the best feature of the course, as they were mostly level. The fairways were a mix of many different grasses and weeds, yet all mowed to the same height, so the lies were very mixed. Very soggy too. Rough was patchy with many muddy lies. Greens looked great, rolled medium-fast, and held shots well...but had many hidden bumps that would throw your ball off line even on very short putts. Bunkers were a mixed bag, some firm, some soft. It was cart path only, which is a nightmare due to the frequent side-slopes of the fairways here. Easier to walk than ride in my opinion. Trying to think of some positives here...the marshal was very friendly and told some funny jokes during our long waits between shots; the beverage cart came by once; the hot dog at the turn was big and tasty. We were lucky to finish before dark. I can't recommend this course right now, maybe on a weekday it would be a better experience if the play moves along faster.

Friday was very nice. Greens firm and smooth late in the day. Looks like they are keeping up with tool boxes who don't fix their ball marks. I see older remarks about slow and bumpy? Not at all the case. Only hit 2 bunkers and they were very playable. The 13th hole is a beast of a par 3! Not a difficult course but fun to get out with the fellas and wager a few cocktails. Keep it in play and you will have no complaints. A couple holes on the back nine had isolated saturated areas but did not affect playability. When finished we sat in the shade at the snack bar and enjoyed some cold ones and watched some duffers, er, beginners at the range.

Pace of play was a little slow but not bad for a friday morning. Greens putted great and firm and fast but sand traps where at best fair, some roots and small rocks in them. Fairways and tee boxes where in very good shape. For the money it was one better values in the area, I will be back here again. Great course with plenty of trouble to get into for the average golfer.

Very overcrowded and slow playing,especially on weekends.After noon is the best time to play there.Pretty well kept up,buy the greens are slow and bumpy.
Overall experience there was a 7 out of 10.

Currently cart path only. Lots of fairways(mostly on the back 9) are very muddy and wet. If you hit a drive in the middle of the fairway, ball will be plugged and lost. Due to cart path only, the round will take longer than usual(5 and 1/2 hours plus). Greens are pretty decent though.

played today 11/5/10 around 1:00pm, course was in decent shape nothing out of the normal course conditions found at mt.meadows, greens were decent shape and held full shots nicely, chipping around the greens the ball rolled out more, not as soft...greens were bumpy to putt on..but not terrible, lipped out a bunch but i guess you really have to bang these putts on their line to hole them out...decent price $30 on a friday afternoon...pace was good just finished in about 4 hours which is incredible for this place! usually expect 5+ hours here...if i find another good deal i will be back but nothing to go out of my way for...

This course can get you sometimes and others may reward you. A bit of a challenge. Played over the weekend, greens are slow and healing from being punched a couple of weeks ago. general condition is great. The new greenskeeper removed some trees that in my opinion should have been left alone, they added character to certain holes.
