Mountain Meadows - home of the 6-hour round! And no one cares!! The course has several "marshals" riding around - watching golfers play golf, chatting with each other, driving through groups when hitting. Getting free golf for doing NOTHING!! Played here Saturday morning, 5/9/15, with my monthly group - otherwise I would never play here. Staff has a casual friendliness and total indifference to getting you out on time or getting the round moving. We teed off at 10:45, one-half hour late, and finished at 4:15. Does that count as a 5.5 hr round, or 6 if we add in the time we were standing around waiting for our scheduled time? Conditioning was LA County indifferent, as usual. Greens were OK, overly firm and, despite last night's rain, not fully holding shots, rolling all right and quick downhill. Average number of ballmarks on each green. Fairway lies thin but all right, rough clumpy and not too deep, and the ball had a tendency to sit down. Lots of divots and slash marks in all fairways. Tees were generally good. Sand traps were thin and damp/packed, making escape around the greens challenging, as it was difficult to get the wedge under the ball. And lots of unraked footprints and slash marks in the bunkers. Decent conditions but unacceptable pace and staff attitudes.

Played today in a great POP of 3 hours (thanks to the group of 3 who let us through on 7). Course is in very nice condition (except for the bunkers). Customer service is excellent at all levels. Tee boxes clean and level and no issues. Fairways clean, mowed and provided good lies and roll. Bunkers were very hard and crusty and I would believe it was from the rain early in the week and maintenance has not worked on them? Rough was high and tough if you got off the fairway. Greens have not been punched and were in great shape all day, when putting, chipping or hitting shots into them. Always enjoy this course, even with the drive needed to get there.

Played this morning in 2:30 (yes I was in a cart). Course is in very good shape. Still softness in some fairways from the rain and some muddy areas still exist, but I never had a bad lie. Sand traps had all been raked by maintenance crew, as well as all greens cut. Tee boxes clean and level. Rough, while not high, was sticky and wet. Greens were in very nice shape, holding shots and putting/chipping very well. Had not played here in sometime and really enjoyed playing again, with the many elevation changes and layout. Customer service was excellent at all levels. Will plan on playing here on a more regular basis as it really is an enjoyable course.

Played Mountain Meadows in Pomona near Fairplex on Sunday. This is a course I have played a lot in the past and it had been awhile so we went back. Got a time at noon for $40 so finishing before sunset was questionable since its winter. The course was really good shape, teeboxes and fairways were very green. The greens were rolling fine and no major issues with them. The pace of play is notoriously slow here, in my opinion for two reasons 1) course design 2) tee time spacing. There were marshals on the course, but there was nothing for them to do since each group was backup to each other. We finished in the the dark but did not lose a ball (very lucky since we had to guess where our tee shots went). Course appears to have a grass range, not sure if it is in use all the time. Also has a snack bar/restaurant and a full bar also. I like the course layout, but not a fan of the pace of play.

Hey fellow golfers. I played Mtn Meadows today, Sun the 25, with a couple of my buddies. I haven't played here in quite a while. Needless to say not much has changed except a few trees were taken down. The pace of play was terrible. 5 somes on just about every hole. One hole had 7 people playing it at the same time. I guess they finally figured this was not Alaska and the sun would eventually set. We finished in the dark on the last 2 holes. The tee boxes were not that great but at least they had grass. The fairways were avg and didn't have big dirt spots. The greens were rolling on the medium side. I guess if they made them faster then we wouldn't have finished 9 holes. The course is ok to play if you have 6 hrs to spare. The thing that bugged me was they had 3 guys working as starters but no one on the course to regulate pace of play, Hmmmm. I probably won't be back because there is nothing about this course I would miss. Enjoy

Played with Queen of WedgeWoods, Gunnz and Clutch on 1/18. Tee time was 11:20 but did not tee off till 11:48. Tourney was in front of us and P.o.P. was slow finished in dark at 5:10.

The overall condition of the course is very poor it seems like the county run courses are having competition to see who can have the worst condition course.

Tee boxes were some of the worst I have seen with too many unrepaired/not filled in divots.

Fairways were either hardpan or muddy depending on where you were on the course.

The best green was the practice putting green the ones on the course were very inconsistent with many un repaired ball marks. Fix you own ball marks! speed varied from 4 to 8.

I would not recommend playing here anytime soon it was not worth the $49.95.

Played a Friday midmorning round at MM, got around in 4:40, hilly course to walk. Many holes are semi blind/doglegs, so some course knowledge is essential. Greens were firm and rolling true at medium speed. Kikuyu fairways and rough mostly full but there are many bare spots, too. Bunkers a bit firm and dry. Grass range a little ragged today.

What's with American Golf owned courses and its pace of play?!?!? This place, Brookside, Diamond Bar, Los Verdes, etc. Took us nearly 6 hours to finish. Argh.

Greens had some divot damage and were a little bumpy. POP is really an issue here. POP was close to 5 hours for an early morning round. Some great views on the back nine.
