The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly.
Good - Brent at the desk greeted us with a smile, was courteous, and friendly. He got us out earlier than our scheduled tee time. 4hr15min round, not too bad considering we looked for balls in the dethatch junk.

The bad - Choppers flying all over the area. Not sure if they were news crews covering I-405/I-605 interchange or chopper school. Airport acivity was noisy, much noisier than Diamond Bar traffic on the fwy.

The Ugly - The front nine fairways were being de-thatched so they were torn up, lost one ball in the junk. The greens had a lot of ball marks, old and new. This made for putts rolling of intended lines. The maintenance crews were all over the place - cutting greens while we hit approach shots and while we putted, cutting fairways and dethatching. Guess Monday is catchup day, lot's of activity.

Have not played here in over 5 yrs, don't think I will be back anytime soon.

Skylinks is a very intertaining layout but the price can be a little high for the condition of the course. The greens have to much ball marks and the fairways are like hitting off the cart paths. The only good thing about the course is the landscaping and many lakes they added in the renovation a few years ago.

Played Skylinks on 8/8/07 at Twilight. With resident card fees were only $17.00 at 4:00 PM. Finished in 3.5 hours so pace of play was excellent. Greens are pretty hard and no one fixes their ballma... Continue »

Greens are pretty hard and no one fixes their ballmarks. Greens look like the surface of the moon. The fairways are finally getting some depth to them after a few years but stil not in teh best shape as it should be for the price they charge on weekends. Worth playing twilight hours but think hard about playing on weekends.

I played Skylinks for the first time in a while and the fairways are once again green. The course is still pretty firm, but I think its tons of fun, especially when you're playing as badly as I was. Plugged in bunkers. Short-sided ten feet below the green. Dead stymied behind a tree. It was hilarious. I think golfers who are playing well miss the true beauty of a course with greens like these. Is the rack rate too high for this course? You bet it is! But, let's face it, if you don't spend it here you'll just spend it on booze and chicks and guns...and waste the rest.

Teed off at 3:15 on a Sunday and miracle of miracles played in a foursome and the pace of play was great, hardly any waiting and got all the way round in 4 1/4 hours. Great. Umpteen divots on the fair... Continue »

Teed off at 3:15 on a Sunday and miracle of miracles played in a foursome and the pace of play was great, hardly any waiting and got all the way round in 4 1/4 hours. Great. Umpteen divots on the fairway and pitchmarks on the green but the course played very nicely, fun pin locations and the greens a trifle slow but nice and true. Had a great time.

Played 6/17/07 got off around 10am finished about 3:15pm not bad. Overall the course was in good shape. But, wow there sure are a lot of unrepaired divots, both in the fairways and greens.

The greens were fun and the placement of the pins made us wonder if the greenskeeper had a hangover.

Repair the divots and this will be worth the money.

decent course, only problem is the divots on the greens. Nobody fixes them. Greens roll true though, but to slow for my taste.
