Teed off at 6:20 Friday morning finishing in 3:45. The greens were in good shape. They rolled smooth with medium speed and held shots. I thought the bermudagrass fairways would be a little more lush and green this time of year. Most fairways had good coverage while a few had thin but playable areas. The rough around the greens was good and the rough along the fairways was good to bare. The bunkers greenside were wet compacted sand but playable. The tee boxes had good coverage.

All the practice greens and driving range are open. Check-in is now inside the pro shop. Masks were worn in common areas including practice areas. The staff was friendly.

Pre-paid for a hot deal which included a cart on line thru Golfnow, show up for my tee time and I am informed that even though my receipt states cart included they would not honor it and would cost me a cart rental. i usually walk with a push cart but didn't bring it with me, so 7.4 miles later my walking round of golf wasn't my best. I will never play there again and would advise others to be aware of this problem, the employee checking me in blamed it on Golfnow, stating that they had addressed it with them but did not offer any customer service at all. His answer Pay for a cart or walk!

With a 0650 tee time on a weekday I was looking forward to a quick round, unfortunatley 4.5 hours later I was left frustrated by the lack of an on course marshal, and the casual attitude of the slow group ahead of us. With a $51 price tag to walk, I expected more from this course. It has been months since I've played this course, but it just isnt worth it.

I played Skylinks for the first time, recently, and they are taking the pandemic very seriously. Nobody is allowed in the pro shop (you pay at a table outside). Masks must be worn everywhere on the property, including the driving range and the golf course. The marshals enforce the mask policy.

I had a 9:30 tee time on a Thursday, and we teed off about ten minutes late. Amazingly, we finished before 1:30, sot it was a sub four hour round. The tee boxes were overseeded and lush. From tee to green, the grass was dormant and firm. No rough to speak of. The bunker were in pretty good hape, though unraked due to covid. The greens were in fine shape, though it seemed they rolled slower than they looked.

Overall, a fun day. An easy course to walk. A relatively forgiving layout with challenging greens.

Like most LB courses (and LA county for that matter) very busy trac but POP manageable, 4.5 on a Sunday afternoon, sunny turning chilly. Many fairways are 'dormant' similar to Angeles National, so thin, yellow and dry. Greens were good considering the heavy use and rather quick. Bunkers were still wet from recent rain, some with puddles. Pro-shop is doing a good job of pacing groups, but a lot of occasional players, either new to the game, or just slow.
Golfers please use the range to learn or teach your friends and lets pick up the pace in 2021.

Teed off at 7:20 finishing in 4:10. Would have been faster if not for the group ahead which was a par 5+ behind. The greens were in good condition. They rolled fairly smooth and held shots but were slow/medium in speed. The fairways had good coverage overall. The bermuda grass was a little brown in spots but maintained good lies. The rough was a mixed bag with good coverage in most areas but there were patchy bare spots throughout. Around the greens the rough was mostly good. The bunkers were groomed but very compacted. The tee boxes were fair because they are chewed up and a little bit unlevel in spots.

The chipping and putting greens are closed. The driving range is open. Wear masks in all common areas. Don't need to wear mask on the course. Easy check in at table in doorway to pro shop. Single rider carts until they run out. Enjoyable course with friendly staff.

Was invited to play Skylinks with a good friend who had an opening in their group. Always happy to fill in with this group. A bunch of fun guys and I always learn new games to play with these guys. On a cool morning for a change, off at 7:30 and finished in just under 4 hours. This was only my second time ever playing here and was really looking forward to playing again. Wanted to walk but the price difference to do so didn’t make any sense. $49 to ride, $46 to walk?? Fairways are in good shape. Bermuda fairways which is always nice to play on. Good roll out on drives and ball sitting up nicely for iron shots. The rough was not very thick so very playable. Bunkers were just plain hard but aren’t they all lately? Greens were rolling nice. Not fast and a little bumpy at times but still just fine. We had a of fun and I really enjoy the layout here. It is a fun layout. Not real long, just under 6400 from the blues and not overly challenging but there is a good mix of long and short holes with doglegs and numerous traps. Some holes play a little long like 17 and 18. Even though it’s a muni, thumbs up for this course. Recommend. Give it a go!

Was able to book a single early tee time at Skylinks Friday, walked as a 3-ball in under 4 hrs with minimal waiting. You could tell the course was not maintained during the shutdown as many areas out of play have long grass/weeds and some, but not all, bunkers were crusty and had to be played as GUR. Hopefully, things will improve when they can generate some revenue and get the full crew back to work. The course played okay otherwise as the fairway Bermuda was full and in good condition. The farther you venture from the short stuff it became difficult to play from and sometime just finding the ball was a chore. Greens rolled medium speed and some bumps along the way but nothing to complain about. Worth coming out to play even with having to wear a mask in the general area which included the range (every other mat open). Chipping area and putting greens are closed (I don't even understand that decision). Snack bar window is open and we saw the cart girl out, too.

Long Beach just announced the reopening of courses so we booked a 1:30 tee time. Was absolutely shocked at a pop of 4 hours flat! And we walked, although there were carts available. Course was in pretty good shape, fairways were good and seemed very well maintained. FYI only blue tees were out for some reason.
The rough was quite rough. Lost a ball I know was under my feet just couldn't see it. Greens had not fully recovered from recent punching, but that wasn't as much a problem as the shocking and disgusting number of not repaired divots. Seriously embarrassing after not even a full day. Such a shame. Hopefully the courses keep the max 4/group and spacing tee times 10 minutes. I had never played such a quick round there!
