Pre-paid for a hot deal which included a cart on line thru Golfnow, show up for my tee time and I am informed that even though my receipt states cart included they would not honor it and would cost me a cart rental. i usually walk with a push cart but didn't bring it with me, so 7.4 miles later my walking round of golf wasn't my best. I will never play there again and would advise others to be aware of this problem, the employee checking me in blamed it on Golfnow, stating that they had addressed it with them but did not offer any customer service at all. His answer Pay for a cart or walk!

Played Saturday 12/11, teed off (at) 9:30 done in alittle less than 5 hours, but with the distance between some of the tees it will add to your total time on the course! Great customer service and practice facilities, saw the cart girl 5 or 6 times! course was in very good shape for this time of year, greens have multiple tiers and being on the right tier will make a big difference in your total putts. Enjoy the changllenge and the views! Will definetly be back!

Played on 11/10 with a group of eight freinds, using the two/one coupon on the GK site. Found out each twosome needs a coupon! had to send one of the guys to staples to make extra copies hence we tee'd off about twenty minutes late! No mention of the coupon policy when we called for the tee time of 10:24/10:34? Also, the discount is taken off the rack rate of $58.00,no senior rate or other. Still a very good price for a good, challenging golf course with cart! Seem to play slow as we holed out (at) 4:00pm. Overall the course is in pretty good shape, greens were good and med/fast speed, hit two bunkers, good sand. Driving your ball wellis a big plus, some long par 4's! alot of un-even lies due to the terrain. I enjoy this course, it makes me think and concentrate more to make the shot at least with min. amount of errors! Don't expect 4hr rounds, it was a beautiful, sunny, warm (84) fall day in So Cal. and the views are great!

Played today as a walk on single at twilight(2pm) for $26.00 to walk, played the first hole by my self and then two guys joined me for the rest of the round. Never waited or saw another group the rest of the day! Finished (at) 5:15pm! Course is in great shape, greens holding shots and putting line! Great way to play golf at a good and challenging course for a great rate! Your missing out if this course is not on your regular rotation!

Played on Tuesday (at) 6:40am, first 8 holes played in the fog, could not even see the 1st fairway! Was told to go ahead an hit by starter, and we hit into the group on fairway! oops! Next few holes were the same, Fog on the tee shots, couldn't see ball until we were on the fairway! Had problem with the distance on the GPS and the fairway markers, both of us flew the greens using clubs we normally hit given the distance on two or three of the holes from the fairways. Alot of elevation changes and force carries on this course, overall enjoyed the challenge but could have done without the fog! I will be back to play witha little more course knowledge. Played for $35 w/cart(senior rate/55 and over) defenitely worth the adventure!

Played today as a walk on 11:12am finished (at) 3:35pm! Good pace for this course. Overall the course is in good shape from tee to green! Tee shots are important to score well here! Greens were consistent and pretty smooth, only a few ball marks left. I played w? click4teetime rate of $33.00 w/cart, made it worth the green fees! Back nine plays a little harder than the front.

Very enjoyable round for the first time playing here. Holes are either straight forward or challenge your club and shot selection! Saw the cart girl at three times during the round! Definitely want to play here again!~

Started at 6:45am, played with my son (we walked) and two good friends(they rode), overcast but nice day, pace of play was good, finished in just over 4hrs. Greens were in great shape, fast, but true and soft enough to hold a shot into them. Overall Big Rec is in great shape and fun but just chanllenging enough to keep you on your toes! Well worth the greens fee for a muni course!

Played on 4/24, 11:30 tee time, holed out at 5:30, enough said about the slow round due to two tournaments going on. Overall this course was in great shape and a real challenge to play, straight tee shots are rewarded and pars are not unreasonable. Definitely worth the time to play at one of the best courses in the metro area. Mondays they have a special for $50.00 a round!

Walked on @ 12:00pm for the twight rate of $25.00, played with a threesome. The course is in great shape, the greens are fast, you don't want to be above the pin!!
way too many three putts! Overall this course is a real deal for the quality of golf you get! Wind came to play on the front nine, so club selection was critical, made it on in regulation for most of the holes, just couldn't keep the ball below the hole! Hence the dreaded 3 putt! Still was an excellent day of golf!

Play this morning, 10am tee time, pace was good 4 1/2 hrs, overall I was impress with this course after all the bad reviews. The greens make this coures tough , all of the pin placements were in tough places, if not insane! No level or easy puts! I would recommend this course to anyone who hasn't played it in awhile. Be close to the pin and below the hole or three putt! Will be back now that I have a better feel for the layout!

Played this course on Friday the 5th, Only thru the great gift, "I was asked to play with my wife's bosses as a gift to her for all of her hard work". Got to love that! From the time you arrive you realize that you will be waited on constantly. And the level of customer service was everything you would expect from a resort of this quality! The North course was set up to play from four sets off tees. I really liked the course, it seemed to play to my type of game. and as a result I had a great round of golf on a beautiful course with ocean views and good friends! I probably won't be playing here soon again! But if you get the chance I would highly recommend it. I believe the South course has three holes actually looking over the Pacific! . We also stay in one of the Bungalows and ate at all of the resturants, our Christmas party was at the Andrea resturaunt, all tabs picked up by her work, hopefully my wife will never leave this company!!
