On September 17th I played with My GK family at Valencia Private Course.... I was not truly impressed with the course, but I had a Great Time. The layout was different which made it a little challenging. The weather was warm/hot as usual for the area, but an occasional breeze did bring some relief... (Smile) Overall the course was in pretty good shape and I would play it again if the opportunity arises....

Played in the outing. I was geared up for an immaculate course with some challenging holes. To me blind tee shots and fairways with trees in the middle is not my idea of golf. I was also very surprised no GPS. That would help with the blind shots and vague fairways. Sand was hard packed which is fine for fairway bunkers but not green side ones. Over all I was disappointed.

Played in TheBigDog's outing on September 17th. This was my first time playing a TPC course. I was not prepared for the back nine even though I was warned it was going to be a tough one! No. 15 is 500+ yards and all of it blind! The tee boxes were in good shape. The fairways were in great shape considering the time of year! I can't speak about the sand bunkers since I was not in any of them! Wow! That's a first! The greens were fast and got faster later in the round. A very challenging course indeed!

This is another well organized outing by TheBigDog with assistance from JohnnyGK. A Special Thank You to cafootdoc for allowing us to get our collective feet in the door — So to speak! The TPC staff were very friendly and helpful. We welcomed some new members who I am sure had a good time. If you get the opportunity to play this course, do so. You will have to think your way around this course, especially the last few holes!

Played in the GK event and I have to say the course was in great shape for it being September. I felt like I was playing in July it was so green and the weather was so nice. The staff was great to us and I really hope this becomes a yearly event for the GK club. If you get the chance to play this course do not pass it up it is a great experiance.

Played at a GK Outing. There are parts of this course that are very cool...but overall I didn't care for the layout/design. This course played really difficult for those of us who were not familiar with it- by virtue of it's design. I felt that there were too many unfair settings- from blind tee shots to trees in the middle of a narrow fairway to convex greens- sometimes all on the same hole. Too many holes penalized good shots. Perhaps if I had the chance to play it with someone who had some good course knowledge I would enjoy it more.

However it was very well maintained and the staff were wonderful and friendly.

Finally had the chance to play here over the wknd. I knew it would be a scorcher...and it was, but I was really looking forward to it. The guy in the pro shop and starters were pretty nice and helpful. The grass range and pyramid balls are always a treat to us muni dregs :) I was a little surprised/disappointed to see the practice greens were aerated but relieved to see the course greens were not. Impressions. Our group played from the black tees and found this course to be quite a challenge for us TPC-V virgins. As prior posts have said, local knowledge can be worth 5-6 strokes easy. The overall conditions of the course were what u could expect from a private club. I've heard that the pros prefer to play Valencia C.C. over this place and I can really see why. The course has multiple blind shots and forced carries. Especially the back 9. Often times I would hit what I thought was a good shot but was penalized by o.b. or obstructions. A couple of clowny holes like the par 5's. It was HOT and tricky and I became surprisingly happy/relieved when 18 came around. I usually feel the opposite way. Not sure how much the weather played on my overall enjoyment that day. It seemed to beat me/us up unfairly a few times leaving us frustrated. I think that if given the chance to be played often it can grow on you. But with the unlikely chance of that ever happening I don't think I'll drop another $100 to get out here again....well maybe. (the cart girl was smokin!)

Customer service was outstanding. Having a greeter when we parked who took our bags to the cart, pyramid shaped range ball already on each stall, friendly marshalls and coordinators. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Play this when you get the opportunity.
