Played on 11/2 with Queen of Wedges, Gunnz and Clutch. Being my first time here was impressed with customer service , top shelf clubhouse and practice facility.

Cart path only was in place which made us take longer to play also it being Gunnz and my first time playing here made for 5 hour round.

Great track with great views on most of the tee boxes and greens of Santa Clarita Valley.

The fairways healing from maintenance with some holes still needing some work and new sod being needed on others.

All tees boxes in great shape , level with almost no divot damage.

Greens were in good to very good shape with average speed running 10 to 11.

There are couple of holes on back nine that were poorly designed and they are the back to back par 5's. The rest of the course is great design and fits the terrain very well.

If you get chance to play here do it. I know that I will come back again.

Please fill in you divots and repair your ball mark + 1 on the greens.

Overall, a great day at a great price as we golfed this private course for $60. It included carts, range, and their top-notch practice facility. There were a few areas of burned out turf in the fairways. Much of it has been repaired with sod. A couple of hot spots were getting water, and an employee was running irrigation between groups. The greens were in very good condition, except for a lot of ball marks. Most likely, those were from the shotgun tournament we were in, but there were some old ones as well. Tees, rough, and the fairways in general were great to hit from. I was in a couple of bunkers and the sand was of great quality, but fairly wet. For several years I have heard many golfers complain about the layout of the course. It's quirky; some blind shots, limited lay up areas, and lots of ESA's to befuddle the average golfer. Course knowledge is key here as well as playing within your abilities.

Fun day at TPC Valencia today. Glad I finally got to play this course. Special thanks to kviser for posting a Meet & Play notification and arranging things for a few of us to get in on the "member for a day" outing. $60 was a great price and the staff was very friendly and helpful to all us guests. We teed off at 10am in a shotgun. I played along with GKers tonybarrett, sr129 and mdames, and we got our butts thoroughly kicked by this tough course. It did really help that mdames knows this course really well and was able to give us a lot of pointers on each tee box (not that we were always able to follow directions or execute the "ideal shots"). 4.5-hour pace was pretty good with a big group. We only had to wait on the group ahead of us a couple times on the back nine and never saw anyone within a hole behind us.

The course was in pretty good shape. When I first pulled in, everything looked really green and perfect. But it looked a little better from a distance than up close and personal. The fairways had their share of thin areas and the rough, though mostly lush, had its inconsistencies, as well. That said, it was much, much more good than bad. I was in a couple bunkers and they had good sand. The tee boxes were great.

The highlight of the course condition-wise was the greens. They were exceptional. Firm, but receptive to shots with spin. And, boy were they fast! True and smooth with deceptive breaks that had us baffled all day. You really have to pay attention to the surrounding landscape to see the true slopes or you will be fooled a lot by what you think is uphill/downhill.

I enjoyed the layout. It's a challenging course for sure and it does have its quirks. It is the type of place you have to play a number of times to really figure out the best strategies. I wouldn't want to play here every day, but wouldn't mind coming back every few years if the price is right. The only hole I didn't particularly care for was the 15th because there really is no good lay-up area on the second shot unless you are a pretty long hitter. Otherwise, I thought most of the hole designs were fair as long as you know/execute the right strategy. Most fairways are more forgiving than they appear from the tee, but some of the greens can be really tough to get at. Any birdie here is well-earned.

Not much to say about this course, other than that it is very well kept. Everything is lush, bunkers are excellent. Top notch practice facility. A pain in the rear to walk in the summer heat though.

Played today 3/5. This was my first time here. Played with a friend who won a foursome in a tournament. For the most part, this course is great. Great condition, with greens that are fast and true. Fairways were perfect. Rough was medium length, but not too penal. Tee boxes were level, and in great shape – even the par three’s. Fantastic practice facility. I really only had one complaint, and maybe because it was my first time playing here – hole 14. What an absolutely crazy hole! Total target golf. If you don’t hit your shots in the right place, you’re screwed! I was happy to come away with double-bogey. If you get a chance to play here, do it! Hopefully, I’ll get another crack at it.

I didn't detail rate this because this is a very late review... Played the member for a day in April. Also have been here for a special "lesson for a day" with Hank Haney. This is a top notch facility with a nice clubhouse and friendly, non-pretentious staff. Course is in excellent condition. My complaint, and just my opinion, is there is no GPS and so many blind, and I mean BLIND shots that it was completely unenjoyable. I won't do the member for a day here again, just not my type of course. If you like up the hill, down the hill, around the corner, hope I can find where my ball is, oh that's what it looks like golf, then by all means, enjoy! By about hole 15 I was completely over it. It is definitely challenging, probably not so bad if you had any idea where you were hitting half the time. One tee box on the back literally has a hill right in front of it so you see absolutely nothing of the entire hole. I say this so those who like these challenges can enjoy the course and those, like me, who don't, can save their money on the member for a day program and just go eat at the clubhouse which is still open to the public.

I was lucky enough to get invited to play TPC at Valencia with a member on Sunday 4/21/13. We teed off at 1pm. POP was about 4:45, but I knew this would be the case on a course this difficult. This was my first experience with a TPC signatory course, and all I can say is 'WOW.' It's a die-hard golfer's mecca. This is what golf should be.

The practice area is spectacular. Large grass range with many greens as targets. The pros hit from the bottom of the hill back up at the 'little people.' Haha. I saw Jason Gore coming off the range as I arrived. There are quite a few PGA pros that belong to this club...so you could bump into one at any time. Pretty cool :) There is a nice chipping green and sand trap to practice from. The putting green is huge, and rolls exactly as the greens on the course do...incredibly fast. The member I played with said the greens are running at about 13 on the stimp meter. He wasn't lying.

The course is fantastic. Very long. The layout reminds me a bit of the Robinson Ranch courses, but much better. Less sand, actually, than the Robinson courses. Many elevation changes, lots of elevated greens.

The fairways are double cut and gorgeous. Some unfilled divots, but not bad. I made sure to fill as many divots as I could...just trying to give a little back to this amazing course. Rough is thick and lush, about 3-4 inches.

The greens....oh my the greens. I am in love with these greens. Crazy fast, but pretty much perfect. There were a couple of holes that had quite a few ball marks, but the maintenance crew has done a great job keeping them nice. The greens were receptive to well played shots. These greens are a bit deceptive reading the breaks. Without our member's knowledge helping us read the greens, and in general helping us around the course, we all would've added at least 10 strokes to our score. Local knowledge is critical on your first round here.

Tee boxes were flat and lush, only the par 3's showed any divot damage at all. The sand traps were fantastic as well. A couple of the traps were a bit compacted, but the ball splashed out easily.

This is the best course I have played in Southern California...granted, I haven't played most of the big ones like Riviera or Torrey Pines, but TPC at Valencia is awesome nonetheless. If you ever have the opportunity to play here, you'd be a fool to say no.

Had the opportunity to play here for a charity golf tournament, and what a fantastic course. Greens and fairways were in excellent condition after just being overseeded. It was cart path only and scorching hot out, but still was a great day of golf. The course was quite challenging, with a lot of blind tee shots and fast greens, but our foursome scramble still managed to shoot even par. I would highly recommend if you ever get the chance.

Played today 10/18 for the first time. Challenging layout with some great holes, even if some of them are really close to I5 highway and some others are surrounded by ugly electricity poles.
Beside that I really had a lot of fun playing TPC. I loved the back nines, lot of elevation changes and spectacular views.
Course conditions are perfect, fairways are lush and greens run true and really fast.
They've just reopened after green aeration and overseeding.
Of course Tpc Valencia will be cart path only for the next couple of weeks.
Pace of play a little over 4h with no rush.
I played with my Pro from Italy. Looked like we were the only two golfers on the course.
Great experience.
