Tee off EARLY and enjoy a really nice, interesting layout with plenty of length and variety. Tee off late and bring a book... Conditions are better than average for a muni, although the greens are inconsistent depending on how much they sit in the sun. Little rough, but the course is pretty long so it's still tough. An excellent value if you can avoid the incredibly slow play. Easy to walk and considering the urban setting, very pleasing as it sits right next to a mountain. If you die of old age waiting to tee off, Forest Lawn is right next door..

This course will take 5 1/2 hours to 6 hours to finish. We waited on every tee and on the 10th we waited about 45 minutes to tee off. I guess most people can't hit a 230 yard straight. Go figure.

Somehow everytime i play here, i tee off 40-45 mins later after i paid. 5 groups in front of me waiting to tee off the first tee. Why should i play regular rate, when i actually tee off at twilight rate? Not only that, starter is no where in sight. Everybody is trying to tee off earlier than they're suppose to. Anyways, course conditions is okay, greens are fast and little bumpy. Too bad they'll be aerating in a week. Slow play is always an issue here. Waited 45 mins(no thats not a typo) to tee off on the 11th hole.

great conditions recently at griffith park. tee boxes, fairways and especially the greens are playing really nicely for a course that is so busy. got out early last saturday (6:42a) and finished in 4 hours. most difficult part were some of the pin placements on severely sloped areas of the greens, so local knowledge of where to place your approach shots is helpful.

Played 3-26 in the morning. The greens are at Wilson's best. come play it before they start the aeration. The pace of play was usual, slow, but never more than 5 hours.

played early today at the wilson course and have to say it was in pretty good shape. course gets a lot of play, so i go out early between 6-7am. finished at 11 and there were a whole lot of people waiting to start their round. tee to green was in good condition, was in two bunkers and they both had soft sand. enjoyed quite a bit.

Played Sat 03/14 am. This is a decent course except very crowded. You don't want to walk in and on the waiting list. Longest wait time for me was 5 hours.

Fairways and roughs are OK. Greens are lot better than I expected. Fast on many greens. On back nine, pin placement was a killer. You are lucky if you 2 putts. We had many 3 putts. Pace is normally slow 5+hours. Better walk than ride. Bunkers are OK. Overall condition of the course is very good. (Cost Saving Tip: buy a large soft drink as you start the round, you can get refill for just a $1 at the snack shop then get another refill after the round)

Started at the beginning of twilight and barely finished with the sunset. Was last group to finish. Some parts of fairways are damp from the recent rains. Pace was slow. First 2 holes took an hour. There were 2 groups waiting on the 2nd tee when we got there. Next 4 hole holes took up the next hour. Easy course to walk, and water only affects you on one hole. Sand isn't great at all, but I have seen worse. Layout itself is pretty average. I would sum up this course as just an average muni with a slower than average pace.

I don't play here very often anymore, and after getting off 1/2 hour late and then taking 5 1/2 hours, it will be while till I return. The greens were the best I have ever recall seeing them. The fairways on the otherhand were not very good at all. Maybe I'm just getting old, but playing Wilson from the tips after a rainy period makes this course a bit too long for my game. This is a "big" golf course. I love the setting, the old style traditional layout, but there are a number of negatives about this course that causes me to prefer Rancho Park.
