played thursday afternoon 9-22 twilight. Course condition is typical muni. Greens bumpy, tee boxes chewed up, bunkers not always raked. Layout is fun though. Its always nice to see some wild life on the course. Always see a deer or two(saw a family of 5) in the middle of the fairways late afternoon.

played today 8-7 afternoon twilight. One of my favorites, but i havent played here in years due to slow play and increased green fees. Surprisingly the round only took 4 and half hours. Teed off at 330 pm(twilight starts at 3pm) and finished before 8 pm. Waited almost every hole to tee off, but pace of play was quick. I checked facebook on my iphone on the 6th hole and saw that greenskeeper.org were having the name that course/hole contest. I WON. Free hat, t shirt, bag tag! Thanks GREENSKEEPER.ORG!. Anyways, the course has a great layout(same designer as Riviera)but it does get crowded. Conditions are typical muni, but the rough is really thick in some areas. Theres never a cart girl, water coolers, or drinking fountain so bring your own. The 10th hole does have a snack bar, but sometimes it closes early.

Played yesterday afternoon and the pace was painfully slow. Finished in over 5 1/2 hours. There were 3 groups waiting on the #11 tee box. Typically muni if you ask me. Not the greatest conditions but certainly playable. I thought the greens were soft but were very slow. I expected the rough to be pretty dormant but it was thicker than I thought but it wasn't consistent thoughtout the course. There was no marshal out here and I didn't see any slow players in front of us so I'm not sure what caused the backup. There was also no cart girl so you had to get stuff after hole #10. Kind hot yesterday and I forgot my water so it would have been nice not to wait until then to get some.

Played today for the first time. Was backed up about 10 min. Course is in good condition. Fairway and rough are lush, green was a little on the soft side. Rolled well, especially on the down hill putt. Finished in 4.5 hours. Nice long and wide course with good character. Great to work on your drive and long irons. I'll come back on a weekday. Heard the weekend is crowded.

Teed off just before 8, on time and no complaints at the pro shop/starter area. As typical the course started out really wet but by the 9th hole the sun came out and there wasn't a drop of water on the course. The greens were a bit bumpy and there was a lot of sand that would stick to your ball and putter, not to mention so many brown marks from poorly repaired divots. The sand traps were in really good shape, all were recently raked and moderately fluffy. Pace of play was fine at about 4.5 hours, as expected. My only real complaint was that the rough was so inconsistent. Some areas were really thick and others were cut just like the fairways. I lost three balls just off the fairway because it was really hard to see your ball unless you were standing right over it. I'd play here again but wish there were a cart girl for the $43 I paid to walk.

Played on Saturday 1/8. Went out around 7 and took about 4.5 hours. Several portions of the fairway was overly muddy and the tee boxes were patchy at best. The greens were surprisingly in decent condition compared to the fairway and the sand traps were in fair condition, appearing to have been raked recently.

teed off at 148pm twilight. didnt see anyone til we got to 11, on which there were 2 groups waiting... finish first7 holes in 1 hour. greens were still a bit bumpy but coming along pretty well. i like the layout as u hv different looks. long course in my standard. wished people fixed their ball marks as we repaired at least 3 on every hole. there are some damage soo big, i dont know why people dont fix them.

Played on Veteran's day. It was nice that my spouse who was a veteran got a discount on green fees today. It was a nice day for golf. We had an early morning tee time. It took us about 4 1/2 hours to play 18. Not bad for a holiday. I noticed it got real busy later on that day.

Fairways and tee boxes were in decent shape for this time of year. But there were a number of dry spots and areas with ground under repair on the fairways. Bunkers were in decent shape. We didn't know that the greens were punched until we got to the first green. The practice green were not punched. The greens still had sand on them but it wasn't too bad. In addition, the punched holes on the greens were tiny. It's a great deal to play here. Love playing here it's a classic course.
