Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!Payed $35 to walk on a Friday. Normally I'd say a cheap round but considering it took over 5 hours to play an under 6000 yard course from the tips, I'd take it back. Tee boxes are the worst I've seen, period.
!st group out on a Saturday and finished in 4 hrs. The greens are almost 100% recovered from aeration. Bunkers were firm from the morning mist. Among the City courses, this is in the best condition.
Told myself I wouldn't pay over $200 for a round of golf but... The course is in excellent condition andfor some reason it always takes 5 hrs to complete a round here. The layout is nothing to write home about however the ocean view and condition are some of the best. I'd play Pelican Hill next time for the price.
Played 3-26 in the morning. The greens are at Wilson's best. come play it before they start the aeration. The pace of play was usual, slow, but never more than 5 hours.
the greens are healing nicely. it's in better shape than harding. as for the tee boxes and fairways, what can you say it's a public course. I played with a guy visiting from Australia and he couldn't believe how nice the course was.
played thursday. course is in good shape. The gold tees were way in the back but the blue tees were near the whites and sometimes the reds. the fairways did not roll as much as I remembered The greens were fast but a few holes were bumpy. the green fee is up $2 to $38 now. Wilson/harding/santa anita is a better value but brookside from the tips is a better challenge. You will use all your clubs. watch out for the 1st hole with the front pin placement above the hole is a sure 3 putter.
great layout. played under 4 hours it's pretty warm out there. fairways were decent with lots of wet spot. green were spotty some area but still rolled true. it's been awhile since i played here did not recognize the place with all the houses. wish the course was closer to my home
Greens in the best shape for this course in a long time. rough is taller than I remembered play is still on the slow side one of the best munis in the area.
