Played 3-20-14. I hate to do this because it's one of my favorite county courses, but it was pretty bad. I don't know what was going on, but it was extremely crowded. Tee'd off 20 minutes after my tee time, and the round took 5.5+ hrs to play.
Tee boxes-O.K. condition on some, grass really high on others
FWYS-In really good shape, the ball just rolled for days if you hit the FWY
Rough-cut nice and low so it was easy to find people's balls when they went sideways.
Bunkers- Hard dirt underneath a shallow top soil
GREENS-Terrible condition. I played in the late morning and it looked like the greens haven't been cut for a couple days, but it was watered down- not a good combination. Putts didn't hold their lines and were really slow.
P.O.P-Horrible!

For this time of year, The course is in fairly good shape. The greens have recovered fairly well from aeration. Two greens that were in poor shape, 10 & 12 are almost totally recovered. The fairways are predictably thin in spots considering that the winter months are here. Service was good.

Went out here early this morning as a walk-on to check this course off my list. When I got there, the place was already busy on a dark and foggy morning. $27 walking rate was a fair price. The starter got me in a group right away and it was a cattle call of people milling around by the first tee ready to go off. I was in a fivesome and we went off around 6:50. The early morning regulars were moving things along pretty quickly. We never had to wait too long on shots and we finished in about 3 hours, 45 minutes, so I was pretty pleased with the pace on a very busy Friday morning.

The course was in about the shape I would have expected from a county course in winter. Tee boxes, fairways and rough pretty thin and firm, but playable enough. Most of the greens were in nice shape, rolling smooth and quick. A few looked more beat up and are recovering from some maintenance. I was in a few bunkers. A little thin, but they were both pretty well raked and maintained with consistent sand, which was a pleasant surprise.

Nothing too exciting about the course, but I wasn't expecting much. Reminded me a lot of Skylinks, but a less expensive version with flatter greens (I mean, seriously I don't think I had a putt all day that broke more than a couple inches). For the price, it's fine if you don't mind dealing with the crowds, but certainly there are many better muni-level options around SoCal.

I honestly am not a fan of Alondra but I've played it more than any other course because it's so close. I played yesterday 10/7/13 @ approx. 1:15pm. POP was just about 5 hours and the course is not in good shape right now as the greens are pretty torn up. There are bare spots on numerous greens to go along with the typical bumps and divots you normally have here. The green for the par3 12th is completely out of commission due to severe bare spots. There were two trucks parked around it and several groundskeepers working on it and laying sand over it. In the meantime, they have constructed an alternate "green" to the right of the hole. This "green" is simply a mowed down patch of rough/fairway(the two are one in the same) with an abundant amount of sand laid over it. No sense in putting on it just try and hit it on from the tee and then pick up your ball. There were also an unusually high number of wet and muddy areas in fairways but they are not marked as under repair. All in all, not the best experience but not really far off of what you normally get at Alondra. The course is still playable and if you really want to get out and play this will do the trick.

Although the greens on the front and back are different (I think Bent/Po Ana) they are in pretty good shape. The fairways, although improving, have some bare and thin spots. it appears that they are working to improve them. In my opinion Alondra provides good value for the money

My club plays here about once a year - otherwise, I wouldn't. Played Saturday morning, 6/1/13, on a warm sunny day with the usual breezes after 11AM. Course is in decent condition for a casual round. Greens were in pretty good shape but only medium speed and bumpy/grainy, so any putt >5 feet was an adventure. Other parts of the course OK, usual LA County muni maintenance. Pace was surprisingly good at ~4.5 hours. Saw the cart girl a few times. Hole 18 still a design disaster with no place to go off the tee - ridiculous!

Played on Memorial Day. Got out as a single with another single. We were first ones out. played first 9 in 1hr. 5min. then ran into the back niners and played the back in 2hrs. Finished at 9am. Nice to get home before the day gets going.
The course was wet due to watering, which was nice to see here.
The tee boxes were ok.
Fairways were thin.
Bunkers looked like hard packed dirt, but the few I was in were not bad to play out of.
The greens were pretty decent for the most part. We played a few on the front nine we beat the mowers to.
Only real complaint I had about today was the Holiday rate, even then it was not too bad.
