Played on Memorial Day. Got out as a single with another single. We were first ones out. played first 9 in 1hr. 5min. then ran into the back niners and played the back in 2hrs. Finished at 9am. Nice to get home before the day gets going.
The course was wet due to watering, which was nice to see here.
The tee boxes were ok.
Fairways were thin.
Bunkers looked like hard packed dirt, but the few I was in were not bad to play out of.
The greens were pretty decent for the most part. We played a few on the front nine we beat the mowers to.
Only real complaint I had about today was the Holiday rate, even then it was not too bad.

Played in the GK Event on 5/18/13. Had a great experience all around. The people were great. That includes the staff, as well as the fellow GK'ers.
The course is a tough one. Local knowledge on the greens and tee shots will serve you well here. The overall condition of the course was excellent. The fairways were nice, as was the rough. Bunkers were a little crusty, but that is more weather driven. The greens, along with the wind, are the course's major defense. If I saw the pace and break, I made the putt. If It was unclear to my eye, well then I never got close to the hole. You really need to pay attention to the low spot of the canyon this course is routed through.
Thanks to my playing partners and Johnny for a fun day!!!!!

Played on Saturday, 9-8-12. Teed off at 6:42am. I went out as a single and was paired with another single and a twosome that included a fellow GK'er, JMan.
The course is prepping for maintenance at the end of the month. That being said, it is still very playable and in 100% better condition than the L.A. Dog tracks I get stuck playing.
Greens were in pretty good shape, even with unrepaired ball marks.
Fairways are still nice to hit off of, at least the two I hit were.
Bunkers had decent sand in them.
Tee boxes were fairly level.

I will definitely be back and can't wait to see it in all it's glory after the over seeding.

Played Sunday morning as a single. Got out in the 3rd group. Played in 3 1/2 hrs. Great pace. Noticed the the group behind us was over a hole behind after 8 holes.
Course was a little on the wet side, in the low areas. Greens were bumpy today, slow with less break than normal. They were not shaggy, they looked ok, but putts would jump up or off line off all of our putters.
Fairways were tight and spongy, it was the rub o the green as to which lie you would find.
Rough is Kykuyu, how ever you spell it, and was not long but it could shut your club down still.
Sand was wet and heavy in the few traps I got into.
Tee boxes were ok.
I just like the fact I can get out on a Sunday morning and be home by 10am.

Got out this morning as a single. Was in the third group out @ 5:55am.
$35 to walk, well worth it. This course is a no frills L.A. County course, flat, wide open and fairly easy. But it is nice to play when you need a golf fix and an ego boost.
We finished in 3:45! I can't complain about that. The guys in the group were super nice and it was an enjoyable morning!
Greens were in decent shape, slow to med speed. Fairways tight in some spots, lush in others. Traps were pretty good.

Played here on 8/21 with a 6:30am tee time and was joined by another single. I love this course!! It is a straight forward test of golf. Hit the fairways and greens and have a shot a a great score. Miss the fairway and trouble starts. It had been at least 8 years since i have been here and my fond memories did not let me down. Course was in great shape, a little wet as we were chasing the sprinklers. the fairways were in very good shape, bunkers looked nice, rough was brutal and the greens were some of the best and truest I have ever played. They sped up as the sun got higher. Played in 3hrs 15mins.
The staff were very friendly also. I won't wait 8 weeks, let alone 8 years, to come back next time.

Played on 7/10 And got out at 7am as a walk on two some. The starter was very nice and accommodating. The course was in decent shape all around. The layout is fun, not too challenging, but enough to keep me intrested. The pace of play was amazing for a busy Sunday morning. 4 hrs on the nose.
The only complaints i would list are 1) no beverage cart. 2) lady in the snack bar is too busy to sell people making the turn any snacks! 3) No drinking water on the course.
I would play it again, but bring a golf bag full of water and snacks with me.

I played here on 6/28/11 and have to agree with Weeman's review. Except I found the greens to be fairly smooth and surprisingly fast on the wrong side of the hole. Everything breaks to Burbank. This course is tight and tough to score on. The kikuyu rough, trees and barrancas swallow strokes but I found it very fun to play.
The food in the restaurant was pretty good too.

Played Skylinks today. Single joined a threesome on the first tee. They were fun guys and good golfers. Made the round enjoyable. We finished in a little less than 5 hrs., teeing off at 9:30. But it did not seem like we were out there that long. There was one hole open behind us after the 2nd hole the rest of the round.
The course was on the wet side. The fairways were thin, but playable. The rough was spotty. you could get a thin muddy lie in 3" thick rough. The greens were a bit bumpy, but a little on the quick side. The bunkers were in great shape, other than foot prints from lazy people.
The cart girl was nice and seen often. It was a nice day of golf at a decent muni course.

Played on Sun. 8/29/10. Tee time 7am, teed off right on time. We finished at 11:20. The pace of play was just right. Never waited and was not pushed. This was my first time here and i was very happy with what I saw of the course, my game however was not so good. The fairways were in very good shape. The rough had just been overseeded, and it was still long and brutal. Good luck finding a ball in the 2nd cut. The greens were in very good shape and med/fast. A few holes looked the same, but there was enough variety to keep it interesting.
Now for some not so good things. You think range balls would be included in a green fee of $150.00 ( i paid $120 online). It was $11.00 for a small bag. No gps on the carts, but the sprinkler heads were well marked. Also the burnt pancakes were a bit on the dry side.
I will definatley go back, once I straighten out my driver.

Played on 2/25 with the GK outing. What a beautiful day for golf! This was my first time (at) this course and playing with the GK'rs. I enjoyed both. I was paired with a great a great group of guys.
The course is great. It is in excelent condition. The fairways look like slivers of grass from most of the tees. Once you get your ball out there, then you realize how big they are. Unfortunately it took me too many shots to realize it!!! The guys I played with were very helpful with the tips, but my driver must have had it's head cover on and did'nt hear them. I think the enviromental hazards are just there to preserve erant golf balls for resale. The greens are diabolical! But they are not unfair. You just need more local knowledge. I look forward to playing here again, many times.
