Played last week and even though they raised their green fees from $55 to $58 it's still one of the best bargains in southern Orange County. The course is in great shape, except for a few soft spots on a few of the hole. A challenging but fair course with the different tees placed very fairly to make it playable for golfers of all abilities. Great views, good greens, and a fun layout. Pace of play was under 4 1/2hrs. Worth checking out if you've never played there.

Played 9/5. First time I played this course. From the whites, it's a short course, a little quirky. No rough at all on the course, which makes errant shots scamper for the hazards. Fairways are of the "tight" variety, but soft enough to take a smooth swing and divot. They had the pins set up for "tournament" difficulty, most within 12 ft of the edge of the green, behind the sand, on the steepest slope on the green, etc. In good shape, with only a few dried out or dead areas, and even these didn't affect play. Only complaint: they use the silly "front/middle/back" pin placement guides. This can be deceptive when your "middle" placement is on the extreme edge of a green you cant see (uphill approach). Would be better to have pin placements that show region of the green, not horizontal strips. GPS already gives you distance to pin. Would play again, 4:45 round.

Nice course! Each fairway is on it's own, not hitting from the other fairway here. Either you're on or in the bushes. Quiet and secluded, the only distracting thing here is the dog kennel on the hill, the dogs never stop barking. I would recommend this course to anyone. Keep it in the fairway and have fun.

Stay late for dinner or a few drinks in lounge, great setting on the patio by the fireplace.

The course is playing fantastic! And the guest service can't be matched in any other So Cal public course I have seen. Be honest - when was the last time you had a course marshal help you find your tee ball in the weeds, instead of warning you about holding up play? Just one thing is wrong, and it's not their fault. Ball marks on the greens. Golfers, come on! If you are good enough to hit the green from more than 30 yards, you MUST find and fix your mark!! And fix a couple more while your buddies are putting (for those players who forgot).

Course is in great shape from the #1 tee box to the 18th green. This was the first time I played Arroyo Trabuco and definitely not the last.

Enjoyed this course very much. Teed off earlier than our time. Will definately go again! I'm kind of a new player so my beer was $1.30.
