Players be worned: this course is still very new and has very hard fairways (almost drove the 1st hole - 350yds from the blues!) and greens. That being said, it's a nice course. Great layout. Service was great. Tough to handle the fees often, but still nice. The wind can be a huge factor and the elavation changes need be factored as well. The greens are tough to hold since they are still so new and they are very grainy also. The practice green is nicer than the course's, so keep that in mind. Overall, in time it will be a great tough course.

Played here on March 5, 2005 after not playing course since it opened. The course has matured nicely. I was not impressed with the fairways and the greens were rock hard. Plays like a links course so aim at the front of the green and the ball will run (and run and run). Service is great and the course is a good value for So. County.

Played the member/guest tourney. Given the rain (today too!) the coure is in good shape. Little standing water, everything was draining quickly due to the good design. With the wildflowers in bloom... Continue »

Played the member/guest tourney. Given the rain (today too!) the coure is in good shape. Little standing water, everything was draining quickly due to the good design. With the wildflowers in bloom the normal coastal scrub was transformed into a beautiful oasis. Greens were in good shape (aeration starts soon) and the fairways reasonably green. Traps were in good shape. I always enjoy playing here and the food is superb.

Played AT on Sunday 3/13. We got off right on time...$55 for twilight and we finished easily. Lots of employees doing everthing like a quality club. GPS on the carts helps because the course is tricky. Fairway lies are tight and the ball gets a lot of roll. Beautiful setting and a good test of target golf all the way with a lot of variety and greens that roll well but will surprise you your first time. Shot 84 so the first beer was $.84 cents. Good time.

This is truly a remarkable track. Upon arrival you feel as if you have left the city completey and are transported back in time before the crowds of Orange County. The golf course is absolutely beautiful with its natural rolling terrain, canyons, and lakes. Every hole is unique from one to the next, with no side by side holes on the entire course. Hit it straight or you will be going to your bag for a new one, because there are lots of beautiful arroyos and thick fescue grass on this beautiful track. The 18th is truly a great finishing hole with its par 5 over water and all down the left side. A risk reward hole to say the least. Awsome track and by far one of my favorites. A must play, and for the $$ you definatley cant beat the quality and location.

Nice day at Arroyo Trabuco. Started out very slow and by the fourth hole the Marshals were out in force and took care of the matter. At the sixth hole a few Marshals stopped by and apologized for the inconvenience and gave our foursome each a sleeve of Arroyo Trabuco logo golf balls ---- Avery nice gesture and most importantly, of course, they took care of the problem. Since they have GPS on the carts you’re being tracked, and if you start running a little slow they know who it is, which is a great tool for the Marshals. The course is in good shape and the greens are running about 11. The staff was very nice and helpful. Arroyo Trabuco has the feel of a country club but at affordable rates. For seniors (60 +) $45.00 with a cart and GPS. As a side note, your first beer at the 19th costs you what your score was. If you shoot an 82 it costs you .82 cents ---- What a deal --- Try their Trabuco Pale Ale --- Very smoooooth.
