So I played here for the first time on 1-6-07. Let me start with the positives. The tee boxes were in decent shape, as it appears management rotates them often and try to fix all divots. The greens were smooth, though very hard. There were hardly any divots because even a shot from 150 yards to the green only left a small indentation. Make sure your approach shot is high otherwise it will roll of the green. The layout was interesting given the changes in elevation on many holes, and some narrow fairways. Now the bad. The fairways were bare in many areas, and it wasn't due to dormant grass. I was hitting off of dirt on many of my fairway shots. You're better off hitting off of the first cut of rough. We paid $44 with a cart, and it was not worth it.

We had an American Golf certificate for a free weekday round for 4 players and they wouldn't honor it (it was Friday but they called it a holiday) even after we offered to pay the difference ... very petty. The course: I wouldn't have played it without the cert but we were stuck. It's kind of a funky layout, tight and short. Greens were marginal, lot's of dorment brumuda (no overseeding) but I always felt like I was golfing in someone's backyard as homes surround the course. Okay for beginners but not a serious course by any stretch of the imagination. I can see no reason to return, even for a freebie.

Last time I played here was 2002. The course is much better condition now! vast improvement! The bunkers are great, fairways decent, only the greens are questionable. Too hard and too many ball marks to allow putts to roll true. They really need to be punched to allow some growth for the roots. While this is not a "regulation course" it is a fun track and a nice change of pace, and for $15, a real bargin!

The greens were horrendous. Putting on glass was the feeling. No cart girl avail for drinks. I won't play this course again in the future.

Played on 8/5. Booked as a 2some with a 3some, behind a 5, that was behind ANOTHER 5, BEHIND YET ANOTHER 5, BEHIND ANOTHER.... well you get the idea. Yet, for all the crowding, we only took 4.25 hours to finish, a very good pace.

If you have played this course in the past, but have not been recently, you will be surprised. I was. There are still some areas that need work, however the fairways have recovered from last years (2004) bad rain storms and are beginning to fully cover the ground. Bunkers have been completely redone, unfortunately taking away the big lips on 6 and 17. A couple of new bridges are in place on 9 and 10. Rough still needs work,as does 16, but course overall in in really good shape. You can tell that the staff is really working hard on this course. Only wish they can get the holes by St.Jude back. A much better value than Westridge and in better shape.

Having played this course frequently 10 years ago, I was a dissapointed at what I saw. For the price it's still a great deal, and I agree w/ the other feedback on the efforts to improve the course. But most of efforts seem to be on the creek(bridges,irrigation etc..) and will always be an issue.. But the course; fairways(burn marks everywhere),Tee boxes(abused), greens(average) and the foliage/bugs seem out of control. The club house is extremely dated and range hasn't changed a bit. Again for the price you can't expect too much and all the old timers seem to like to hang out and have this course to themselves, but this is a great course (terrain/elevations) and with a little TLC and proper use of funds(and a little more$$) this could be a quality course. But all the necessary change would definetly bring higher fees- CATCH 22!!!!

Was ecstatic when we finished ALL 18 at 7:45 pm. What was even better was the course. Let me start by saying I grew up in Fullerton and played this course an endless amount of times growing up. This was the first real course I played golf on. I have NEVER seen this place in better shape!!! The city has finally decided to spend some $$$ to make a ton of improvements. Lots of them minor but since I grew up here I noticed the differences. Tee boxes are greatly improved. Sand in the Traps is actually Sand! Fairways are not hard like they used to be and the Greens look great except for all those ball marks. Ball marks are not the courses Fault. Management has taken all the steps to improve this course and the playes have not paid them back by fixing their marks and divots. Can't penalize the Course for it's players. If you are looking for an affordable course that has a staff that is really attempting to make improvements. This is the course for you!!! Go give this Course a try and you won't be disappointed. Kind of short with lots of Par 3 on the front 9 but the Cost is unbeatable. Did I mention the New and improved Conditions!!! You should have seen this place in the past. They are finally doing things right here and I will be back OFTEN!!!!!

WOW!!!!! Course has made a dramatic change since the last time I played here (over 1 yr ago due to poor conditions). Major improvements in the condition of the grass in the fairways and rough and the grass surrounding the greens was clearly defined and nicely groomed. Fairways tend to be on the hard side so you get a good roll but the grass is easy to hit off of. The greens are fast and hard and do not hold shots too well but they are working on softening them up according to the starter as they put iron down the night b4. Completed in 4 hours but teed off at 6am. Worst part of course was condition of the sand as it was wet but still playable. They were watering the course down on alot of holes as we played through as well. If you used to dislike this course I suggest giving it another shot as you WILL not be disappointed. Tough to walk and you gotta hit em' straight or you may lose a few balls.
