Mission Hills North has gone thru some ownership changes and I"m glad they didn't close down this course. The customer service was excellent in the pro shop. However, the starter could be a bit more friendly.

It's hard to rate this course after playing Classic Club. Classic club has an enormous budget and charge a much higher green fee. However, Mission North still hold ups. The layout is interesting and requires a lot of thought off the tee. It's not a typical driver and wedge course.

Greens were in excellent shape. The tee boxes and fairways could use a little TLC. If this course was in LA or OC, you would not be able to get a tee time. If youre in the area, it's worth checking out.

What a gem! If you're wondering if Classic club is worth a few hundies, let me be direct. Do it. You can blow 200 at a mediocre course in OC or spend 200 for an exceptional memorable experience here. The lunch vouchers and towel gift are just icing on the cake.

Classic club conditions are pristine. As a member of another course in OC, you only get conditions as ideal as this only several months a year. The greens were fast but fair. The practice greens were slightly faster. The fairways are so well kept that it looked artificial. I was not in a trap but my playing partners were. They hit out them like Phil Mickleson. And he was a 19 handicap!

Pace of play was fast. We were only 4 hours because we decided to drink more than normal.

Lastly, you normally go to a restaurant for the food and return for the service. I'm happy to say that service matched the course.

I ran into a member at Classic club that used to be a member at my course. She said, it's a no-brainer to join at Classic. The course is always spectacular.

Skylinks is uniquely different than other Long Beach course. A true links style course with low rough and many undulations. The lies are tight which means lots of roll but also tricky for short chips.

Since they removed the five some policy, pace of play has been excellent. We scored a 1045 tee time and got around under 4.5. That’s a big bonus versus places like Costa Mesa CC.

Greens were rolling at a 10. Tee boxes were bit hairy and fairways overall was above average. Sand was excellent.

The bartender is always friendly and a great place to have a drink at settle a bet. They have a dog and beer special for 12 bucks. What a deal.

If you can score an early tee time here, it’s worth your time right now.

I played on Wednesday with cthuyen. Navy golf course is always in great shape. Greens were consistent , tee boxes had some bare spots, sand bunkers were excellent, and fairways were in decent shape. Pace of play was no issues at all. We finished in 4.5.

The challenge at this place is securing a tee time. If you get one, it’s one of the best values in Orange County.

Conditions are the best I've ever seen it. The greens were rolling super fast. The fairways, tee boxes and rough are perfect. Some bunkers were muddy. Overall, the best I've seen it. Unfortunately, pace of play was 5 hours on Columbus Day. Remember, everything breaks to Disneyland.

For those wondering where to go play if you have more than a 4 some, don't look any farther than Legends. No, I'm not talking about a tournament of 24 players..they can do that too....just a group of your guys.

Nick and his team helped us organize the inaugural Johnny Walker Cup. They went all out to make sure we had an amazing experience; from leaderboard setup to organize formats of 36 holes broken down by 9s, we left saying we can't wait to go back. They also mentioned they are going to start a MASTERS tournament where they have caddies dressed in white...for a very nominal charge. We can't wait to try that for next year.

As far as course condition, I'd say they are the best greens I've seen in a long time. We played Crossings the day before and these were much better. The layout is very unique with elevation changes and the course is a gem. Much of the fairways, tee boxes, and rough are dormant for the winter and should recover nicely by April. It's a Ted Robinson design and not too gimmicky.

If you want to host an event, these guys are great. They are under new ownership and really trying hard to turn it around. You can tell that it's a golf centered management group as the first thing they cleaned up are their greens. Keep up the great work guys!

Great greenskeeper outing. Thanks JohnnyGK. What a treat to play Silverrock during the peak season. Course is in great shape minus the greens on 11 (bird crap). This is a thinking course and course design will keep you on your toes.

We played from the whites and course is very fair. I can see how difficult the course can play from the back tees. From customer service to the food, this place is top notch. It's one of the courses where when you finish, you think back and say, "I can't wait to play that one hole again and score better".

If you haven't been to a GK outing, you should! Great group of folks!

Played Sunday at 12PM and it was a nice experience. Those that haven't gone to hidden valley, it's a tough and beautiful track. The customer service was nice and the marshall actually told the people behind us to stop hitting into us.

Greens were in very nice shape. +++ especially during the maintenance season. However, I'd like to point out the horrible tee boxes. In the past, I've always said greens were the most important..fairways 2nd. I change my mind now. Tee boxes are CRITICAL. The White Tees were uneven...tons of divots and barespots. Imagine teeing off a turtle's shell. That's how uneven they were.

Won't be back for awhile.

I'm going to have to disagree with the previous poster...I played 9 yesterday at ST and the greens were atrocious. Good luck having a put hold any line. The worst part is BC people see the conditons, they don't care to fix their marks. Really awful and Lakewood country should put some effort back to playing conditions. Fairways and sand were decent...won't be back for a few weeks until they get their act together

I'm so glad our group made the drive to play here. Sunday 1145 tee time and finished in 345. Unbelievable! And that is with a 5 some 2 groups ahead.

Greens were a bit bumpy from poorly repaired marks and in need of a rolls. Fairways, tees, rough, and sand were all in great conditions. Marshalls were friendly and suggested us to hit 2 balls...but didn't want to hurt my round by losing focus. I teed it forward and had a great time...best score in awhile.

Nice track and not too hard if you stay out the rough. Will be back soon!

What a change for the better. We got out Friday at noon and finished in 4 hours!!! This used to be home of the 6hour round. I got a chance to speak to the starter beforehand and he said all the right things...fired some Marshalls, changed management team, and staggered tee times nine minutes apart. He also showed me tee sheets and marked the groups on the turn to ensure 215 front nines.

Course was in good condition...greens were kinda slow but thank god BC the pin placements were ridiculous. Bunkers need some raking but not courses fault. Overall, nice change for the better. I will go back soon again.

Played 9 today towards end of the day and course was busy due to the open this weekend. Its sad to say but the greens are ridiculously bumpy for an upcoming tournament. The fairways were nice and rough is grown out...

I'm sure the track will be beat up after this weekend....
