Birch Hills is a fairly easy golf course and I only play it to fine tune my irons. Great little course in a great location although costs as much as a par 72 regulation courses surrounding Orange County.

Played here 1/31, we had a 12:45pm tee time, checked in at 12:15am and the starter said they were 20 minutes behind. I did not appreciate that, while being behind, they were adding single walk-ons to foursomes. While waiting for our group to be called, I can see five-somes all over the course and all walking!! We got all 18 holes in but barely. At least we got twighlight rate when we teed off. Good service for us as far as that was concerned.

As far as conditions, greens were very green and firm, not too fast. Fairways were not as dry as I thought they would be for January. Tee boxes were ok.

Will play again here this year as long as I know what to expect. At $27.75 for twightlight w/cart is well worth it here compared to driving far and paying more for less crowdedness.

Cheers

The tee boxes are not level at all except hole #15 (was just redone). The marshall is useless! People go down to use the practice green on the back nine and end up jumping on when they get a break in play. They don't do anything about it!

GREAT COURSE! I played it for the first time which is odd since I live right down the hill from it. The greens look fast but are medium perhaps because they just finished watering them. The fairways are lush, the tee boxes are pretty flat and the greens have virtually no marks on them. That's good considering how many rounds are played here. Everybody is doing a good job repairing their marks. Was well worth my money and it is now my favorite course. Hit them straight!

I decided to play here since it's around the corner from my house and it's still the same course that I last visited last year (several months ago). The tee boxes were OK...thin at times. The greens were nice and flat with minimal ball marks. It seems that the locals are taking care of repairing their divots on greens. As for the fairways, they are still filling with the bermuda. I noticed that there was a huge bunker placed on the 16th with "lady fingers" on it...looks nice but it now requires at least 175 yds to clear it if you get a straight shot by the street. They were preparing to sod the fairway as well on this hole. I had to play out of the dirt. Also $36 w/cart was too much for a Monday and was not worth it to me. Believe it or not it still took me 4.25 hours to play as some senior players were playing terrible and very slow.

My favorite place to tee it up! The price is worth every penny especially if you use the coupon found on their local paper...you can reuse it again and again for $35 w/cart...can't beat that for a non-crowded and very decent course with a traditional par layout.

For this par 59 Exec course, too pricey, especially on the weekends. Tee boxes are mostly unlevel...terrible. Greens are in good shape and soft...although pretty much flat.

I played here while on vacation last week and I had the first tee time at 7:03am...The starter let us out a little earlier. We played 18 holes in 3 hours (twosome)! It was my first time playing here and I can say that it is worth $55 green fee (weekday). I loved this course.

This course is always packed...not my favorite but i like the distance to get there. it takes too long to play 18...mostly because the hacks like to play from the back tees. ARGH.

This course is par 68, a lot of back to back par 3s. Hilly and difficult to walk. Worth the $$...great condition.
