One of the best courses in orange county. The layout is fun and great to play, you dont even notice that the only par 3 isnt until number 9 and boy is it a beauty. Greens are nice but a lil bumpy probably due to all the play they get. The new clubhouse is wonderful with a great view of the first tee. Service was excellent and we were out on the course with 10 mins of paying and checking in. Wonderful day, wonderful course, highly recommended

Played at twilight on a Thursday. Finished in under 4 hours. Not too many people on the twilights these days, besides high school kids. This course is pretty nice, but more than noticing course conditions you will notice the aesthetics. Water and ponds look nice, Navy helicopters here and there. Cool looking small bridges. Nice blue skys. Don't get me wrong, the conditions here are pretty nice, better then muni quality, yet not quite at country club level. I'd definately play here again.

Greens rolled really nicely. You have to look at all the angles to really know where the ball will roll but what you see is really what you get. They are fast. The greens have interesting swails, tiers and expect your puts to sail past the hole if you don't have the pace down.

Fairways are good. They are lush. A little thin and found myself in more than my fair share of divots. Rough is thick. Areas around greens will hold your golf ball. Sand in bunkers is good. And always be aware of the water. It is the NAVY course after all.

Pace of play brisk for our fivesome. The foursome caught up to us on several occasions but after the threesome ahead plunged ahead we were all by our lonesome for most of the course.

This course is a little known secret here in the OC. For you LBC residents this is a little gem I would definately take advantage.

The greens have recovered & are rolling nicely. Fairways have filled in as well. Good shape overall. Green fees & cart rental have both been raised.

way too many three putts! Overall this course is a real deal for the quality of golf you get! Wind came to play on the front nine, so club selection was critical, made it on in regulation for most of the holes, just couldn't keep the ball below the hole! Hence the dreaded 3 putt! Still was an excellent day of golf!

I played here for the first time recently and was impressed. The course is not long but it will make you think and challenge your head. The par 3 with the battleship is cool. Many cool holes and a real pleasure to play. Keep the ball in the fairway and you'll be good here. Also it would help a lot to play with someone that's played here before. If not, look on the scorecard for water and other things you might not be able to see. The greens ran pretty true and have undulations that will test your putting. The sand was nice and playable. And the fairways were nice. I definitely recommend this course to all..

Played yesterday. 1st time. Wasn't expecting it to be as challenging as it was, but as a first timer, it kept me on my toes. Pace of play was 5+ hours. They let 5-somes out too. Overall, course was in excellent shape. Fairways lush, greens smooth and medium fast, rough not murderous and water wet. Each hole offers a unique challenge. Trees, sand, water -- all placed at the should I or shouldn't I range. Sand in bunkers was healthy and medium. Course knowledge is essential (hit water on a hole that's impossible to see water from the fairway). Greens are multi tiered and almost always elevated. Careful club selection is essential, as is staying below the hole when putting. Course was wet from previous night's rain, but I can imagine the greens get verrrry fast in the summer time. Excellent round, with no distractions from the air-strip next door.
