Don't bother playing here for a while. They have 3 temporary greens. Holes 9, 12, and 14 are in the process of green reconstruction. Maybe in June they'll be ready? Greens right now not in very good shape. They were always in good shape 10 years ago. However, it was nice to play here again.

This course is having some work done to it. 3 new greens being built, which means there are 3 temps. The greens have been punched about 10 days ago, but are rolling very well right now.

We played the course on the one sunny day between 2 weeks of rain (so it was kinda soggy). Other than it being wet there were 3 Temp greens. The regular greens were in great shape. The course is full of dog legs which is nice. Once the new greens are finished the course will be really nice. Give it at least 6 onths though.

Watch out for these greens. They are a tough read at times.

Fun place to play. Civillians cannot make reservatuions but if there isn't a tournament you can easily get a tee time as a standby. Course has some interesting holes - mainly wide open. Best part is that you can play in 4 to 4 1/2 hours during the week and can walk the course. Sure beats the 5 to 6 hour rounds at the Long Beach and LA County courses.

Played on 9/28 Tue afternoon. Twilite rate was $33 w/ cart for single, but the proshop failed to tell me that there were 6 temporary greens. Not fair. Course plays short, holes are relatively unimaginative. Fairways are made w/ the same grass that you have on your front yard, but cut down a bit shorter. The best part of the course were 2 greens that were yet to be sanded and they seemed to be of decent quality, similar to Pelican's greens -- spungy and lush.

I highly doubt I'll ever play here again. Costa Mesa and Mile Square are better options.
