If this course was in better shape it would be a great course. The layout is great and the greens are challenging. BUT, the rough is very inconsistant and some fairways are good while others are poor. A couple of greens had disease issues but appeared to be recovering. Overall the greens putt well but are a little firm. In defense of the course it is in better condition than a year ago. Hopefully with the money they are spending to upgrade the facilities and the course it will continue to improve.

Played yesterday (Saturday) and the course was the most crowded I have ever seen it. I'm afraid the five hour round is here to stay at the better public courses close to home...unless you get up at the crack of dawn, and I'm getting too old and lazy for that.

Course conditions from tee to green were acceptable, but not as good as the course rating would indicate.

The greens are by far the highlight of the course. They are large and undulating with the potential for brutal pin placements. The speed of the greens was much slower than usual, but I think they're just letting them grow out a little after the recent aerification.

Lots of fun holes that wiggle left or right. The lakes are located such that they catch bad shots, but still let you hit driver most of the time.

Try and play here during the week...it's much more enjoyable.

I played there recently and had a great experience....goes to show OUR NAVY still can provide great courses....try sd's admiral bakes gc you'll like it also.....

Played the course today. Greens are in fantastic shape. A little sandy still in spots, but rolling very true.
