The course is really in fair condition. The fairways are getting a yellow as the grass is dying off. The greens are fair, tee boxes fair, ect. Everything is just ok, for a 20 dollar twilight and being right on my way home I still play here but I wouldn't drive too far to come here until the spring.

I must say that the staff is very friendly and they get me our very quick from the waiting list.

This is a great course at a great price! It is truly fun to play (unless it is windy). So many choices for every shot. Never a course marshal, but I've never needed one. Great course conditions always, and a friendly staff.

One thing is a must!!!!!! check www.weather.com or call the pro shop for an update on the wind!!!

I played the course on 9/20 and it was in great shape. Tee to green everything was in good shape. Perfect weather as well (mid 70's). As everyone seems to agree it is a gem in the desert. This is the best time of year to play!!!

This course is great! Very fair, everything plays how it looks. Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and greens were perfect! Pace of play was great. Very nice Staff!

Finally starting to see some improvement. The fungus problem in #15 seems to be solved. FINALLY it is smooth again!!!! As a whole the course is getting better. More attention to detail is nice. Great job course staff.

I played here for the first time on Sunday 7/3. I made a tee time for 11:00 Sunday (on a holiday weekend) on Wednesday in the afternoon. This is unusual for a ventura county golf course, usually they are booked 7 days in advance. Anyway, the course was not busy at all. The course was in great shape. Tee to green, everything was great. Not the most challenging, but beautiful. The GPS was really cool and the cart girl came by at lease 2 times on each side(great)!

For some reason I just didn't feel it was worth the $90 green fee??? Maybe a little pricy but worth at least 1 trip out there.

This is an outstanding golf course. Lush and challenging. Fairways and greens are in great shape! Very reasonable pricing as well. Escape from the city and come up to play River Ridge!

I played 1/30/2005, The course was in great shape. Very few damp spots and the greens were green and smooth. The grass everywhere was outstanding. A couple of tee boxes could be a little more level. Well worth the 34$$. Note the staff veterans of the staff are the funniest guys and get you out quick from the waiting list! Thanks!

I called the course on Monday 1/10 for a Friday 9:00 tee time. They wouldn't give a time to a single. They said just come out ( on a holiday weekend yeah right). Well Friday I get there @ 8:15 after dropping my son off at school. I go get on the list. Wait, Wait, Wait until 11:00 SUCKS! So I can't get in 18 and pick my son up from school. I am watching the 10th tee for people dropping out. I finally see someone leave and get to jump in for the back 9. Bad, Bad starter. Matt the starter let 2 of his buddies out before me. FORGET THIS PLACE! Bad service and the 15th green is 50% fungus ridden. I live 1 mile away and won't go back. GET A TEE TIME no matter how slow they say they are!

We played the course on the one sunny day between 2 weeks of rain (so it was kinda soggy). Other than it being wet there were 3 Temp greens. The regular greens were in great shape. The course is full of dog legs which is nice. Once the new greens are finished the course will be really nice. Give it at least 6 onths though.

This course is great! Wide open fairways(with my slice I need them wide). Tee boxes were great and the fairways were green and full. There are many fairway and greenside bunkers (they are kept in tip top shape!) The greens had a few ball marks. The greens are huge and fast though. NO fivesomes, YEAAAHHHHH! This course is outstanding! I highly suggest it!

WHOOOH! I get to the course @ 6:00 AM (not quite dawn) and there are 7 people on the waiting list (not to bad). 8:00 AM rools around and there are still 3 in front of me! I chose to play just the back 9 at this point! Really disappointed that I waited 2 hours to play a 3 HOUR back 9!

Now on to the course... Not 1 tee box is flat here! The fairways are good and narrow. The greens are exelent (fast & but easy to read). Challenging course but it takes to bloody long to play a round! If you have 5+hours, like a challenging narrow course and like to wait this is the course for you.
