Golfguy123, course is in great shape? Near perfect greens? COME ON! This is fun little course that’s a great value. I play it about 2 times a year. In fact I played July 3rd and it was NOT in great shape. It was not even in good shape. I wouldn’t say it was bad as tscsb says but it was definitely not how your describe it. I think this web site needs to have a way for people to see how many times a user has posted feedback and which courses they have posted feedback on. I think unless people can see how credible a person posting feedback is, course employees or others with special interests will always try to post bogus crap.

This could be one the most beautiful courses I’ve ever stepped foot on. Last week the course was immaculate. Wonderful customer service too. When I save up the coin to treat myself again, Aviara will be my choice.

cmm62 and scgolfer13 you guys are so missing the point! T25452, GENEGOLF, and Eburris1 are simply pissed off that the course did not do a better job communicate to them that they were aerating the greens. It’s called respecting your clients and it’s obvious that AT didn’t do that well enough this week so they are catching flak for it. It’s funny that the course would use a sudden change in weather to justify the short notice to aerate the greens. I’ve golfed in Orange County for the last 14 years and never heard that one.

Wow! Couldn’t get enough of the place. Of my experience playing golf in San Diego county, Steele Canyon Golf Club is clearly one of the best. Our group played the Ranch/Canyon combo and the two nines were in great playing condition. The greens were fast and smooth. The fairways lush with hints of bermuda still present. The rest of the course great shape as well although the tee boxes were a bit uneven. I’m going to try to play the course again next week so I can experience the Meadow nine as well.

Ebbyluke, I used to play San Juan Hills often and have just recently decided to do so again. I played last month, the course was in great shape and I had a great time. I can see you are pissed off about the marshal disrupting you, but to go as far as telling me and all the members never to play to course again is way over the top. I value this website to help me choose where I play. Your comment does nothing for me. I’m considering playing the course in the next couple weeks. I obviously don’t want to play it if it is in the so called terrible shape you say. But how about telling me exactly WHAT is in terrible condition? In all respect, because I would be really pissed off if what happened to you happened to me, remember the rest of us before venting.

This is pretty much my home course. I don’t play it as often as I used to but that has nothing to do with the facility. Yesterday, I visited my old friend and had a blast. Playing Conditions, Service, everything was splendid. If you’ve never played San Juan Hills I highly recommend it. 15 is a real golf hole that sort of sneaks up on you. Just a fun layout where you can shoot some low scores and enjoy the day.

Played over the weekend and was very disappointed. Love the layout but playing conditions are unsatisfactory given the steep green fee. Lots of work being done on the fairways, rough, and traps. Will be back once conditions improve.

Played the Oak course for the first time this morning (5-28). Was generally impressed with the layout. Course has a lot of nice doglegs and some carries over water off the tee. If you can keep it straight you can score pretty good since it’s not a long golf course. Thought the place was in great shape but I wouldn’t say immaculate. Staff was real friendly. Spoke with member of the golf staff after my round and he confirmed that the course would be aerating their greens this Tuesday.
