1/8 fast front 9 then had to wait on the last as caught a slow 4some who showed poor golf etiquette by driving where ever they wanted. Course was still pretty wet in places but provided mostly decent lies needing only a few LCPs. Tees needed mowing and bunkers had not yet been groomed. Greens were really good, mowed and rolled quite smoothly, receptive but still at a good medium fast pace. $ for $ best greens time after time.

played here a couple of times over the last 10 days--fairways remain good to fair with mostly acceptable lies. Rough varies in length and thickness most pronounced adjacent to the greens and is present along most fairway boundaries. Beyond the rough there are often bare areas.
Tees can have some slope or mounding depending on marker placement.
Bunkers vary from quite good to thin so your lie will depend non which bunker and where you are in the bunker.
Greens have continued to be the highlight of the course even being kept a little soft and not cut way down but still rolling smoothly at medium fast speeds.
Friendly staff and a good value and quite challenging in its own way.

We got a great deal on TeeOff and played on Sunday. It was really like a trip back in time. Don't get me wrong, we had a ball (especially at the price!) The clubhouse is on it's last leg and it's pretty obvious that they aren't reinvesting in the place. I've got to believe that they are waiting for a developer to buy it and build houses. The course gets really narrow in several places and plan on losing some balls. The greens are in pretty good shape, but lightning fast with a lot of downhill pin placements. The carts are as old (and slow) as the clubhouse. They've had some problems with the course, so it is in a temporary set up now and there is a lot of backtracking on the cart paths. Like I said, we had fun, scored horribly and lost some balls. Glad we did it, but been there, done that!

12/14 on a cool but very pleasant a m using Tee Off deal time starting behind a 3some of elderly folk who looked to be having trouble getting out of the cart and getting going. But after that they took off and played like they were going to be late to the party. POP 3 1/2 and never waited.
Fairways have really greened up and provided good lies through out, with good cushion and still reasonable roll out. Rough mostly cut down to about 2 inches so not much of an issues.
Tees ok except for some slope depending on marker placement.
Bunkers were groomed and the 2 I played from were quite playable.
Greens are in great shape-- firm and fast but held well struck approach shots.

11/9 quick update recently mowed and rolled the greens now quite smooth rolling true at medium fast speed--scary from above the hole especially on front pin placements. Greens very receptive and an absolute pleasure to play.
Fairways continue to get better as well and provided good lies. Rough varied from somewhat whispy to thick and grabby. Areas around the greens can be quite the challenge if the ball settles down.
Did not get in any bunkers today. Tee boxes need improvement with many being crowned or having a pronounced slope depending on marker placement.
Staff continues to be friendly and welcoming. Pleasant weather a little breezy but nice place to play inexpensive golf.

played here a couple times last week using teeoff deal times==fast easy check in with friendly staff as usual. POP just under 4 with some waiting on men's club Wednesday. Most of the fairways are ok with some really good areas and some thin. Rough gives a nice definition to the fairways, length about 2 inches and longer and thicker around greens and on slopes. Some areas are rather clumpy so the ball tends to sink between the tufts to add to the challenge.
Tee boxes are mixed some thin some level some not so depending on the markers
Bunkers also mixed with some filled with deep fluffy sand and some very thin cover.
Greens are fully recovered but are being carefully maintained and are softer and not cut as tightly as they normally are. Still rolling pretty well at medium medium fast.

Having an early doctor's appointment, I needed to find a place where I could get out super early and first off. ( Coto closed on Tuesday) I called everywhere and nobody had anything which would work, to allow me to finish by 9am. Called Shorecliffs and was assured it would not be a problem. However when I got there at 5:55am, people already teeing off ? The guy in the shop was great. Suggested I go out on the back and since it was not busy, I should not have an issue when I made the turn. Played the back in about an hour (With a cart) and nobody was on #1, so looked good, until I got to #4. Then it slowed down, but I was so far ahead of pace, despite waiting the last few holes, still finished before 9am, got home and have time to write this review before my appointment. Have not played here since the reconfiguration. What a bizarre routing. But I guess you gotta do what you gotta do to keep the course open? Greens were by far the best part of the course. Rolled well, reasonably quick at times. Fairways were hit or miss. Some good, some not so good. Bunkers need some attention. Plenty of sand, just needs to be maintained. Rough was either thick or non-existent. I rarely play this course. I must admit that there are a couple good holes here, but that's not enough to warrant a steady diet of this place. The most positive thing I can say is the fellow working in the shop was GREAT !

played 9/10 POP just under 4 hr using teeoff deal time $18. Fairways are mostly good with the best lies down the center 20 yards--some thin areas and GUR but considering the time of year conditions are quite acceptable. Rough borders most fairways and is cut fairly short but long enough to cover the ball and be penal at times--longer and thicker around the greens.
Tee boxes vary from ok to poor with the par 3s showing the most wear. Bunkers appeared to have been recently groomed.
The greens were really good medium fast smooth firm but receptive--some of the best in the area--the 2 replacement greens #7 and !0 are a little thin around the outer perimeter but still quite good overall. AND SURE ITS TIME TO PUNCH--9/24 /25
Staff is consistently friendly. Just too bad that the course doesn't get more love from the golfing community.

Played out here today with a 1:30 tee time for $12 through TeeOff.com. Arrived a few minutes before 1:00 and the pro shop guy said a threesome was on the tee and if I was ready I should join them. So I went straight to the tee and teed off 30 minutes early. Our group was pretty slow and we lost sight of the people in front of us somewhere around the third hole. We finished in about 4:20 total. (Very little/no sense of urgency from two of the members of my foursome.) Gotta love the cool ocean breezes here, which often impacted shots this afternoon.

Conditions-wise, Shorecliffs is still Shorecliffs. Greens were decent. Grass was in good condition but lots of imperfections, so they were often bumpy. They ran about medium speed and accepted full shots very well. The two newer greens were tough to figure out. No. 7 looked fast and was fast. No. 10 looked fast but was slow. Fairways are mediocre. It's rare to get a really nice lie with cushion under the ball... mostly thin lies. Rough is a mixed bag, thick and gnarly in some areas and very spotty and thin in others. Tee boxes were poor... very beat up, not level. I wasn't in any bunkers but had one ball run through one; a playing partner commented that there wasn't much sand in one.

This was my first time here since they lost the 5th and 6th holes. I had seen the two new greens growing in the last couple times I played here, and the only difference now is they cut a hole and stuck a flag in them. There are no greenside bunkers on these holes or anything of interest. The course now plays to par 68. Also, the routing is very odd: After you finish the par-3 4th, you backtrack by driving all the way back down the 4th and 3rd holes and then drive down the street to the new 5th (which was formerly the 7th). It seems they've also cleared out some areas between around the ditch that separates the 9th (former 10th) and 18th and the 10th (former 11th) and the 17th. Overall, decent for an extreme "deal" price but hard to recommend otherwise.
