Played Westridge over the holidays and was very pleased. I felt the course conditions were excellent.
I read many of the previous comments regarding the course conditions. They installed a new super just a couple of months ago and he has done wonders. We must all remember that a golf course is a living, breathing entity and that the condition can ebb and flow due to conditions beyond anyones control (frost, heavy rains, heat). I play Westridge at leat 2 times per month and have no desire to play elsewhere.

This used to be one of my favorite courses, playing it about once a month. In the years past it was always well cared for and maintained, especially the greens. However in the past year, the greens have been poor with some never recovering from whatever work they were doing on it. Even the fairways in many areas have patched up grass. Overall this is a green and nicely manicured course. I am not sure if they have a new groundskeeper or owners. Even the Bathrooms are not as clean. It is sad to see this course lose it's high quality that it consistently had. I think I will stay away from this course for a little while and see what happens. It has never been difficult to get a tee time here.

We were NOT extremely pleased with the conditions. Courteous staff and lots of effort on the course to get it back in shape. I didn’t expect much before playing based on the previous postings but I enjoyed the layout and at least they weren’t punching the greens like everyone else. I give Westridge another shot around the holidays. Hopefully it will be in better condition.

Played Westridge this weekend and was extremely pleased with the course conditions. We normally play golf at Shorecliffs in San Clemente and decided to drive a little further north.

Both Shorecliffs and Westridge are managed by Pacific Golf Enterprises and we heard that the super that turned Shorecliffs around was transfered to Westridge a couple of weeks ago.

The fairways seem to be dramatically improved and the greens have come a long way since the new super arrived.

It is nice to see that hard work and attention to details are not forgotten by some management companies. I look forward to playing Westridge again very soon.

Played Sun. 10-17. It looked like I was the only person who carried a divo repair tool. The course is under going a lot of repair work at the moment. Fairways that had large quilt like grass patches were abundant on the front nine. The course is a very interesting layout with the font side requiring accuracy or you're faced with a long walk down hillsides to the adjacent fairway. Red Dot coupon is worth the green fees.

They have a wonderful sign on the first tee... suggesting that anyone with a handicap index higher than 10 play off the white tees... unfortunately.. no one enforces it!
