Played Tieras Creek Thur at 1130 and Saturday at 0645. Thursday was CPO but Sat we were back out in the fairways. Fairways and tee boxes are still shaggy from the overseed. #4,#5 and #10 greens still recovering from deep punches. The rest of the greens are very fast by Tijeras standards. Played both rounds in about 4 hours. I think it is the best course in OC. But that may just be me.

Played first 13 holes at twilight on 11/11 and still is cart path only. Fairways are soggy due to overseeding so no roll. Wait for yellow alert to go away before spending $$ here. Some greens still... Continue »

While the course is in genrally good condition, a few of the greens had issues. As they are preparing for their winter overseeding and punching of greens, some of the areas are being prepared. which explains some of the conditions which exist. Overall, I found the course well maintained. The staff was very nice.

Course in decent shape. Greens are always very "iffy" here. Very bumpy and slow. #10 green had been aerated with small holes. Lots of bare spots on the greens. Rest of course is in average shape.

Got a Sunday twillight time (now starting at 2PM at $35) good deal. Teed off on time and finished in about 4.5 hrs, not bad, and finished just before dark. Course is in decent shape, fairways in goo... Continue »

Got a Sunday twillight time (now starting at 2PM at $35) good deal. Teed off on time and finished in about 4.5 hrs, not bad, and finished just before dark. Course is in decent shape, fairways in good condition with a few bare areas ... nothing to worry over. Some poor bunkers only because of non greenskeeper treatment or dummys who choose not to clean up their mess. Greens were cut today which was nice but they still roll a bit slower than most courses I frequent ... a difficult adjustment (my problem). Unfortunately, lots of unrepaired ball marks (common people!). Altogether, a wonderful weekend afternoon at 'the Creek' ... get me ready for Monday morning.

Disappointing. Big money ($110) for a course in only fair condition on Sunday, 8/16/09 at 10AM on a sunny, breezy not too hot day. Many fairway and rough areas sloppy wet from overwatering, and then carts and maintenance equipment leave huge ruts and tear up the ground. Greens mostly soft and look terrible, speed inconsistent, many many ball marks. Bunkers Ok. Many patchy, shaggy, clumpy areas in fairways and rough made for inconsistent lies. Many tees not level in the areas where the markers were placed. Saw cart girl a couple times. Again, disappointing for the fee.

Course conditions were very good given we are in the middle of summer. Only a couple of thin lies due to dry areas and some areas a bit over soaked. Pace of play was excellent! Finished in just under ... Continue »

Course conditions were very good given we are in the middle of summer. Only a couple of thin lies due to dry areas and some areas a bit over soaked. Pace of play was excellent! Finished in just under 4 hours. Always enjoy this layout and scenery. Highly recommend heading out right now.

Played Tijeras Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Course is in very good condition right now. Fairways are a little dry and bunkers are too wet but the greens are the best they have been all summer. Pace of play was great both days. Plenty of Marshals and bev cart girls were around frequently. BBQ at the turn is the best around.
