Played the Blacks (6716/71.8/129) in 3.5 hours as a 2some. The weather was sunny, the temp north of 115 with a little breeze. Many of the tees had not been maintained in awhile. Decent coverage and reasonably level. The fairways were decent to play from, they played better than they looked. Every fairway had numerous areas that were burned and browned out due to the heat/lack of watering to a specific area. Same for the rough. The sand traps were poor, not well maintained and inconsistent from trap to trap. The greens were firm but still putted medium slow and were somewhat bumpy. Not many ball marks, they did hold irons well. Several greens had areas that had not been adequately watered recently and looked dead or dying. During the summer they close up the place around 1 pm. The customer service was very good, complementary range balls on an all grass range is always nice. Nice even if dated facilities overall. The layout is fairly tight with a fair amount of water coming into play. A few really tough golf holes and a bunch of mediocre ones. Roughly 1/3 of the holes playing right beside the property line, bringing OB prominently into play. Considering current playing conditions, not recommended at this time.

Played the Blacks (6716/71.8/129) with 140ver in 3.5 hours. We practically had the course to ourselves due to the 115 degree heat and little breeze. My 1st time here. The layout is traditional old school Palm Springs. Fairly tight with a decent amount of water coming into play. A few really tough and good holes and a bunch of mediocre ones. The course footprint is a rectangle bordered on all 4 sides by busy streets blocked by trees and high walls. This results in roughly 1/3 of the holes playing right beside the property line, bringing OB prominently into play. The layout did about evenly split the holes that ran along the property line so that some had OB right and some OB left. Nothing remarkable about the layout, it was okay. However, the conditions were less than okay. I realize it is mid June and there have been a string of hot days, but... Many of the tees were shaggy. Obviously had not been recently mowed. Decent coverage and reasonably level. However, they close up the place around 1 pm in the summer. We played on a special that was slightly over $1 a hole. Under current conditions, that is about the maximum I would pay to play here. played Desert Island yesterday and the day was a perfect day to play. Used one of my last 2 Desert Island Vouchers (which only leaves one left for sale) and I must say that this Course is in phenomenal shape. The starters in the pro shop were very helpful and happy to see us there which really made us feel very comfortable among all the private members. Not to say that private Members can (at times) make a player feel almost unwelcome when trending on there turf but not in this case. Members were very friendly and pleasure to talk with. Really glad we played there. My review on this course from last month has not changed. This Course and Staff is a class A rating by me. One last Voucher left for sale on GK. Time is running out on this Course before absolutely NO ONE (other than Private members) will be allowed to play there when it goes under New Management very soon. Last chance.

I played this Couse last week, using one of my 3 vouchers. This Couse is absolutely fantastic and its a must play for all skills. Water comes into play on #5, #8, #9 #14 #18. Number #9 and #14 are a B%$#@. Fairways so pure you actually feel bad taking a divot out. Greens are pure and very well maintained as well as the bunkers. Plays long (6716 yards) if (you like pain )wish to play from the black tips or plays just as tough from the Blues (6425) or Whites (6193). There are Gold tees at 5711 or Reds at 5603 yards. I'm disappointed that I hadn't given this great course an earlier positive review. Customer Service is a A+ with a A+ Driving Range (range balls are free as part of the package). Time is running out to play this A plus course because the Course will start their summer aerating in late April.

Played Sunday, 2/19 for the SCGA One Day event, which was an 8AM shotgun. POP was just short of 5 hours, which was good for a shotgun. This was my second time playing DI and enjoyed it even more than last year's event. Every tee box was flat and lush green. Fairways were perfectly manicured and had drained remarkably well even with a bunch of rain in previous days before the event. Greens were perfectly smooth and had very few ball marks. My group had to search to try to find extra ones to repair. I was in two bunkers and both were a little crusty on the top, but fluffy sand underneath. If I'm looking for something to nitpick about....there are overhanding trees quite close to four tee boxes which could (and did) affect tee shots. Pro-shop and cart staff were super nice and hospitable and I hope to have the chance to play here again next year.

Played 12/13 using a GN voucher as a single at noon with practically nobody out there. The course was in immaculate shape. Lush Fairways and rough, greens rolling smooth but slow. The layout is fairly straightforward and flat on the front nine with more doglegs, undulation and water hazards on the back nine. I had a great time and will try it again in the cheaper summer months.

Played 12-10-16 on a golfnow deal for $63 with some discounts. The whole course is very green. Tee boxes, fairways, and rough all in great shape. Bunkers had nice sand and well groomed. Greens were pure, rolling medium speed and semi-firm. Fun old school palm springs course with narrow tree lined fairways and a lot of palm trees. Conditions should only improve as there overseeding really takes hold.

Tee'd off at 8:30 am, this is a private course, but sometimes during the end of summer they have a few morning tee times available for the public on golfnow and teeoff.

Course conditions
Fairways: cut low but not burned all over, mainly nice grass couple dirt patches here and ther
Rough: trimmed fairly low, could make for a much bigger challenge if they were grown out.
Greens: immaculate, rolled probably about an 8. Great for being aggressive on those first putts
Course layout: played the blacks and what a treat that was, very cool tee shots, shooting through tunnels of trees and walking back to tee off over water to some fairly demanding landing areas. Trees here are very Mature and if you tend to slice you could definitely be in big trouble here.
Overall: Very enjoyable, Pro shop guy was super friendly and i will be on the lookout to come back. But there is no way this course should be rated a 9??! I would say a 7.5 , 9 and above are for places like wolf creek, tpc stadium etc when they are in perfect shape. Lets be real here people.

It's a pretty challenging course and if you dont like hitting out of sand traps this wouldn't be the course for you. I was in 14 traps in 18 holes. It's in the desert and my score matched the temperature this day! LOL
