Played the Blues (5827/67.3/120) 1/10/16 as a single in 2H, 45M using Forelinx. The weather was excellent, clear, 65 and almost no wind. First time playing here. Older, traditional desert layout laid out in a rectangle surrounded on all 4 sides by city streets. It is nice that the front and the back branch off in opposite directions so that on the front side, the theme is that OB left is the street, while on the back, OB right is the street. Houses or condo's line the other side of most holes, so OB down both sides is almost a given here. Many holes are fairly tight, you need to nudge the ball around this course and avoid penalty strokes. If you can do that, the course is relatively short and fairly easy. The tees were lush but fairly chewed up. The fairways were over seeded and played very nice. Mowed close and the maintenance crew here has done as good a job as I have ever encountered at filling in fairway divots. I rarely found one not already sanded. The rough was lush and mowed down close. Not penal to play out of, it was MUCH nicer to play out of than the fairways on numerous courses I have played recently that did not over seed. The traps were just okay, not in as good of shape as most of the rest of the course. Sand quality was good. The greens were very smooth and putted medium speed. Firm, even well struck irons shots usually released, so that needed to be taken into account on club selection. They are also on the small side, approach shots that are barely offline can easily miss these greens. The customer service was excellent. No drink cart, but plenty of water stations. Other than during the hot season, this course would be easy to walk, very flat and most tees are close to the last green. The layout is mediocre, many holes would remind you of holes on dozens of other vintage Palm Springs courses. However, the condition was very good and there are definitely some fun holes here. I was very impressed with the amount of maintenance staff I saw out working on a Sunday. This is an excellent option for seniors and golfers that do not desire forced carries and penal rough. Not a destination course, but I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone desiring a quick round on an easier course in very good condition.

Played 6-6-15 in the afternoon as a single on a golfnow deal for $14 in 2:24. Tee boxes are in good shape, some are a little unlevel but not to bad. Fairways are in great shape, very lush with the ball sitting up very nice. Rough is about 2-3 inches and lush. Was in two sandtraps that both had very nice sand. Greens were a little soft, rolling smooth at medium speed. Course is in pretty good shape right now.

Played out here this morning on an uncomfortably muggy desert day! 7:30 tee time (GN hot deal for $20). Not too many people out, but they put me in second group out with three nice ladies and we teed off around 7:20. A fivesome ahead of us slowed us down a little, but we still finished in about 3.5 hours, which was great!

The course is still in good late summer condition. Fairways and rough kept a little longer with soft turf underneath for some big divot explosions. Greens a tad too firm and hard to hold on approaches/chips, but very slow rolling on putts as is typical this time of year. Sand traps good with just the perfect amount/softness of sand if you ask me (soft enough, but not overly "fluffy"). Some tee boxes were a little beat up and they had a few of the blues closed, making a short course even shorter at times.

This is a fun old school country club course. Very short (just under 5800 from the blues as a par-70) and not terribly difficult at any point. A few tight tee shots with trees in play, but generous enough landing areas on most holes. Greens not don't feature much undulation or sloping, and they are pretty easy to get at. Enjoyable little course, but nothing too exciting compared to so many other great courses in the area. $20 price tag on a Saturday morning is hard to beat if you don't mind the heat!
