Stickboy and I played on 11/05 fairways had just been overseeded but they played well and we were allowed to drive on them. The greeens are quite small and suprisingly quick. Overall, a very nice course and for the 35.00 green fee. No cart girl but they do have a resturaunt. I would play the course again.

I played this course for the first time Sunday, Nov. 5 and had a good time. The course is pretty fun and cheap ($35 to ride), and the surrounding area is nice and quiet. The greens were ok and the pace of play was great. No cart girl, though, and it got pretty hot.

What struck me most about this course was how far the "golf course homes" are from the course. There is a 20 to 30 yard ribbon of hard-packed dirt between the homes and the maintained areas of the golf course. I imagine that this dirt area was probably maintained at one time, but management and water became too costly. If we could go back in time and move those homes to where they border the current edges of the golf course, the slope of this course would probably go up at least into the 130s, and you wouldn't see all the "wide open" remarks on the reviews.

Actually this is the California Golf and Arts or Arts and Golf Club. Played on 10/12 for the third time in a month and a half due to the coupon good for a $10.00 round of gold, anytime, any day, heck you can pay that much for a large bucket at some courses. It is a wide open track, wide fairways, few bunkers, playable rough. The course has some of the smallest greens in the area, and considering the course caters to the 'senior golfer' it is usually long, over 7,000 yards from tips, about 6600 from the blue tees. Greens were smooth but hard to get a read on. The broke every which way, they had no real place they broke from or to. Still short putts could be made with a firm stroke. Unforunately the $10.00 special ended on 10/13 and I think the daily rate is about $40.00 weekdays, $55.00 weekends. Needless to say we will not be driving to Sun City again unless another fantastic coupon makes it necessary.

Played on Saturday, 09/09, for the first time. It is a wide open course, very generous fairways, a few trees, and very flat. The greens were smooth mostly, a few a little bumpy, but nothing to really complain about. The coupon in Southern California Golf Magazine lets all in your group play free, only $10.00 per player for cart fee. It is about the same distance from my area as Landmark Hemet and closer than Diamond Valley. To pass up this deal is borderline ridiculous, heck a large bucket of balls at the range averages 8-10 bucks. It is great track for beginners, can hit driver or whatever and not lose many balls. The only defense the course has against the better player is the tiny greens. If you have ever played Santa Anita you will know what I am talking about. The average green here is about 1/2 the size of the one found at most newer courses. For 10 bucks, the company and the beautiful day this was a hard round to find fault with, oh maybe my score, but what the heck. Get the coupon and take a drive, until the greens get punched it is way worth the time and cost.

I have heard a lot of bad things about this course. Well, there are no complaints from me! Although not immaculate, everything from the tees to greens are in decent shape. The rough is lush just off the fairway to yellow and inconsistent as you get closer to the houses. At over 7100 yards from the tips a better golfer will not get bored here. This course is walkable if you can put up with long distances between many holes. $25 with a cart on a Tuesday is well worth it. The new management has done a good job.
