Played Camarillo Springs GC for the first time today. It's was definitely fun!

Enjoyed a Sunday afternoon round at CSGC. The course was enjoyable to play as it is a fun layout that includes mid sized fairways and greens, some elevation changes, occasional water hazards, and excellent views of wildlife and the mountainside. This is a solid and enjoyable layout that calls for reasonable consistency, yet still has some forgiveness.

Greens were in good shape and rolling nicely.
Fairways were in good shape overall.
Rough was either very long or not existent in some areas.
Sand was firm but consistent.
Tee Boxes were hit or miss, sadly. Some were fine and others were not level.
Driving Range was very nice with shot tracing technology.
Chipping area and practice putting green were in nice shape.
Water hazards all had water and native areas were kept and defined.
Customer service was excellent.
POP was under 4 hours.

This course was certainly enjoyable to play, and I will certainly be back. From what I hear, the course and facility are greatly improved. Recommended if wanting to play golf at a fun layout!

Played today, Sunday. Octob4r 25, as the first tee time on Wilson at 6:55 am, four of us walking from the blues. A group walked by us on the first tee, heading left, apparently heading off ahead of us. We are informed the course said no when they asked to tee off first and they apparently ventured off on their own. Never saw them again. A single popped up after us, saying he split from the three ladies behind us. He skipped the 11the hole and went ahead. We played in 3:35 hours at a really nice pace. The ladies were about an hour behind us from what we couuld see.

The course was okay, There are some problems with the greens. They looked rich they had some fungus spots but there were several furrows (## 5 and 6) evidencing more than the usual autumn humidity damage, The greens had the problematic combination of good speed and plenty of bumps. The fairways had plenty of areas of close cut, winter condition , kyukyu fairways. It looked like not enough water in the middle of the fairways. Overall, the condition sere just okay.

That said, love the layout and had a lot of fun.l

Played 10-24-26 early morning walking as a single on a crisp morning with nice sunny skies. I know the just punched the greens last week, but still wanted to come up and play to see how they are healing and what kind of condition the course was in after the rain. The greens are healing up nicely for being punched just a week and a half ago. They are playing soft and slow but rolling pretty good after aerification. The rain helped with getting the sand to settle in a little better, and with the weather going to be a little warmer for a few days next week they should be healing up pretty fast. Fairways were very green and lush but playing soft with the ball staying pretty close to where it lands. Rough was very lush and thick. There were a few bunkers that had some standing water. The two that I was in were playing a little firmer than normal but still nice to hit from. They had aerified a few of the tee boxes which really didn't make much of a difference in stance or play. Overall course is healing up nicely and playing very well, I wouldn't pass up an opportunity to play here right now.

Played this morning. As they recently aerated they had a $43 special rate. So we took advantage of it.

Personally I think this Palmer design is one of his best that does not get enough credit for how good a layout it is.

From 2000 to 2002 the Samsung World Championships were played here. But they stopped playing it here because the players said the course was too tough. LOL

So foggy when we teed off it slowed everything down for 3/4 holes. But we had a great marshal who would not let players wait on the tees moving them along. Thank you Dale.

Tee boxes were all fine and playable no issues.

Fairways were a little damp as we had rain in the area yesterday. But suprisingly enough there was still good roll out in them.

Rough was damp and penal and this course as an over abundage of OB areas to also contend with.

Traps were not really playable as the rain left them wet/damp and some with standing water.

Greens were aerated last week and they were actually really good to play on this week. We really found no issues with them at all.

Great service in the shop.

Excellent practice facilities here with chipping greens , 2 large putting greens and driving range.

Highly recommended. And frequent Golf Moose course participant.

Played today. Cool light rain showers that ended after 30 mins.

Course played just fine as the rain was not heavy and did not leave course in bad shape.

Tee boxes all playable. No issues.

Fairways had good coverage and decent rollout even though damp.

Traps were not optimal so lucky none of us hit one.

Rough was wet and needed avoiding but fairways are nice and wide so no issues.

Greens held up nicely. Really did not even leave bad divots and were in good playing condition.

Great customer service in the shop.

Nice driving range. Good size putting green. Carts in good shape.

I do think $51 for Sr and Loyalty Tee Rewards members is to high.

few days late on the review. Played Saturday, Oct 17. Everything was in good to very good shape. No complaints accept the teeboxes were a little below average. Not much to add from Rudyclub's last review although the greens seemed a little better than the previous week. Always recommend.

Sr day today. Hard to pass up $34 to play golf in the Napa Valley.

Tee boxes all playable and friendly.

Fairways good coverage lies rollout all round.

Traps were playable and I heard no complaints. Only one of our group had trap trouble but he played out each time very well.

Rough was not an issue except around the greens. There is enough OB areas, vineyards, creeks and elevation changes on the course that are worse than the rough.

Greens were in nice shape all round and held shots released shots and chipped/putted great all round.

Great customer service from the shop and Brian in the cart area.

Decision has not been made to continue this proram through Nov but I hope they do.

Afternoon round. Showed up without a tee time and was able to get out immediately. Pace of 1 hour 20 minutes was very acceptable. Greens looked quick but were much slower than they appeared. Somewhat bumpy. Fairways thin but decent coverage. Not in any bunkers but looked good with plenty of sand. Tee boxes were poor. All moved forward because there was no grass left on the actual tees. All and all a positive experience. Could not believe how busy it was, but I guess that's golf nowadays

Walked 18 today. POP 2.5H $18 Sr rate.

Little cool at tee off as fall is here but warmed up nicely after 1 hr.

Tee boxes all playable.

Fairways all in good shape lies and rollout.

Rough is not an issue as it has been cut along the fairways but deep around the greens is the tougher play.

Greens came back from aeration just fine. They have good speed hold shots release shots and chip putt just fine.

Always great service from the shop and Nick a great host for the course.

Teed off at 2:30 on Sunday. Was a nice day, but pace of play was not good: 4:45 to finish 18, with last two holes played in the dark. Tee boxes were lightly covered with grass, and could use some flattening out. Fairways, when they had grass, were slightly long yet fluffy, but plenty of brown spots dotted along the short stuff. Rough had low coverage, but quite thick in a good spot of grass. Bunkers were mainly hard, but there were plenty of around the course; I was only in one though. Greens were soft and bumpy, all while being slightly torn up. Very tight course, and because of its short length, it will force you to hit hybrids and woods and even long irons. Very easy to lose balls. Signature hole is #16, where you hit down from the side of a hill down about 100 feet to the fairway. As a youth on course member, it cost $5 for me and $25 for any supervisor or playing patter with the child. For a non youth on course member, expect to pay anywhere from $45 to $80. Maybe a little overpriced for the conditions, but this historic track is very fun with its layout and will always keep you guessing.

I played Encino over a week go on Friday on 10/9. Two things I felt worth mentioning. Because of the white GK aeration indicator, I called the course first and was told no recent aeration and no scheduled aeration until March. When I got out there, I saw light indications of what looked like aeration marks but they would not have been too recent and barely visible. So while it begged the question as to whether there had been any aeration more recently than I was told, the greens were fine. The other thing was that the fairways were mostly good lies where green, but there are bare-to-very-thin patches that are scattered about. On a couple of occasions, because they were in the fairway, I moved my ball over to the nearest actual green spot. So consider the aeration status full green but the fairways occasionally less so. I still enjoyed the round and recommend the course, and now you know before you go, without calling the pro shop

Play day was 10/06/26, 10:00am tee time. (But a late post)
Coming off aeration (I don’t know when they started), it looks as though it may need another 10 days to completely heal and start smoothing out again so it may not be fair to give it the rating from that day because I’m sure it’s much better now. Two of their greens complex are out of commission from weather damage for some time now and they’re playing temporary greens since.
The fairways were very good- closely mowed but not much run.
The bunkers played heavy and a bit wet that day.
Teeing grounds were good shape, too.
Pace of play was about 4 hrs and 20 min.
No bev cart but the staff were helpful and no issues.
