I would rate most of the course fair at best - mainly 5 or 6/10, with the exception of the greens which are at 8.

Fairways and rough are generally dormant and thinnish. Rough is a grab bag of lies from tight and hard-packed, to gnarly, dormant bermuda thatch and occasional green sprouty growths that the ball has an annoying habit of rolling up against!. Tee boxes were fair throughout, a bit lumpy in places - some of the tees on the front nine were well beat up (along with #17 on the back).

Sand was inconsistent, ranging from hard-packed or gravelly in the fairways to firm and thin in some of the greenside bunkers, while others had been filled with very granular, powdery stuff (almost to overflowing in places) which was pretty hard to make an explosion shot from and produced zero spin.

Greens were the best part - mainly smooth with decent speed and relatively free of ball-marks.

Course is going backwards. Don't know what grass they are using in the rough but it reminds me of old El Rancho Verde. The grass grows in big clumps and if the ball gets in front of a clump you can't get your club on the ball. Now the rough around the greens is a different story, why they have it 5" or better I have no clue. Takes 5 min or more to find your ball if you ever do. Now the restaurant, hey guys, get the girl some help. Noon, 12 tables full and they have 1 girl taking the orders, tending bar, and cleaning the tables. Management, get a permanent bartender. Oh yeah, cart path only for a while due to the heavy rain damage that they received on Sunday. Heavy rain???

Played Eagle Glen 11/14 golfnow tee time for $33. Starter was old guy with long white beard and was rude. Yelled to us on tee box from his chair "Ok big hitters time to go", and people ahead of us still in range. Course was fun and challenging. In good shape, and greens were fast, but greens had a lot of divot and old ball marks on them. For sure worth the green fee.

The course is in good shape but bunkers hard and not raked. Pace of play was 5 1/2 hrs and never saw a marshall. I called the shop to see if a marshall could do something but never saw him. Just finished in the dark after starting at 12:15 pm. I would love to play here again......... when I am rich enough to buy the course and make it my own private cc!

First class customer service! We had (only) 13 players this week and with a very late added tee time they were nice enough to put us out as 3-3-3-4. From the tee time reservation desk to the cart girl (OMG!), they all did great.

The course was in good shape with no real complaints. Sure there are some slightly damp fairways in spots, but for the most part, they all played very well. Greens were good, but there are lots of ball marks on some of the easier holes. Sure wish people would spend some time fixing their marks + one, -I was repairing 3-4 per hole. (Also wish the course's crew could spy-them-out and black list them or charge them a fix-up fee!) The rough was thin but playable on most holes with a few areas that were very lush. The bunkers looked damp and firm, (I wasn't in one all day!), but also playable. The tee boxes were in very good shape.

All-in-all, a very good course with two very different nines that has some incredible views of Riverside County. One more thing: Holes 16 and 18 should be in some kind of golf hall of fame that includes beauty, fun and torture.

Pace of play was a disaster. Waited on every shot and gave up after 14 holes took a shade over 4 hours playing as a twosome.
Course was in a bit better shape than last week. Fairways a bit improved although still some gur and different growths sprouting up in addition to some burnt spots and occasional hardpan.
Greens were pretty good and generally smooth with only a few bumps. Seemed like there were a lot of old ball marks but well struck putts rolled pretty true. Traps in the fairway were hard packed and thin - they looked good around the greens.
Tees had been trimmed.
I would rate it as good overall.

Played 10/18/11. Course was in better shape than I had intended but still pretty bad. Starting from the very first tee box it was not mowed nor were any others that I recall but they were pretty level and I had no trouble teeing it up on any hole. The rough was extremely inconsistent in length, some areas being 5-6" tall and other areas around 1" but averaging about 3" throughout. The rough was extremely tough to play out of and be sure to hit down on the ball because the club head stops very shortly after contact with the grass. Fairways were nothing special and brownish/green and thin in areas but some lies were very lush. Greens rolled great all day. There were a ton of ball marks on some greens but it usually did not effect the roll and the greens were nice and fast. I always love the challenge here and has some great views but the condition of the course right now doesn't even make you think about pulling your camera out. I hope conditions improve and I really hope the winter does not wash away some of the course again. Still had a great time though and customer service was great and the cart girl came around at least 5 times.
