They have a new superintendent here and it's starting to show. Basically, someone turned on the spigot. So the fairways are coming back. And, they are working on re-routing the mow patterns for the rough. The upside? The ball won't run through the fairway into the schmuck. The bad - the fairways are going to become a bit narrower in places.

Also, they are working on a number of bunkers too. Greens had just a few bumps. Almost completely back from aeration.

Played the course today 5/15/12. Was matched up with an older threesome but very enjoyable conversation and stories. Greens are in great shape, roll true and fairly fast, small little breaks that you better see or it will be a long day putting. Fairways were nice and green, some areas still a little thin, and several ground under repair sections, but overall if you placed your ball right they really did not come into play. Bunkers were soft and very nice to get out of the proper way, some were being re-filled with Pelican Hills white sand. Good pace of play, and a new cart girl starting today and she is a beauty. Course was a joy to play and would certainly be back. Give it a 8.0, would have been higher if the mowers were not out.

Played Sunday and was very happy with course conditions. Greens fairly quick but not fast and 50-50 on the bunkers. I was in 2 and one had sand and the other dirt. Fairways were about the same condition as Glen Ivy. It could always be better but I will be back.

I think this course is way over-rated. Fairways were poor, thin, and spotty. DIRT Bunkers were loaded with rocks. Greens were decent though. I don't like to complain, but when I pay top $ for a round it should live up to its price. I guess not even the recent rains helped this place.
Not going there anytime soon unless I have a super-deal.

Greens have a ways to go before they are playable again. The aeration holes are very visible and the ball is hoping all over the place.

The rest of the course is looking scruffy, I have to say. The fairways have at least two different growths in them besides the Bermuda and look really ragged until holes 16/18. The rough is exceptionally spotty throughout but lush in places around the greens making pitches difficult to judge.

A little watering might help.

Played on Fri Mar23rd 4 days after the greens were punched. They had a special for $39 with free range balls and a free $10 lunch. Trust me, it was not worth the $29 it cost me. The greens were just unplayable. It ruined the entire day. I will never play a course 14 days or less after punching the greens again for any price.

Let me begin by saying that I really like Eagle Glen! Had not played her since last June, and I was really surprised and disappointed by the condition of the course. What happened? While the greens were by far the best part of the course, the fairways were awful. Lots of bare spots in the rough, fairways, etc. I spoke with the starter and was told that they just changed the superintendent, so maybe things will improve. Hope so, because it was sad to see such a nice track deteriorate so badly.

Played in a tourney this morning, first time at the course. The course was in decent shape. The fairways are patchwork with some different grass, but there were no bare spots and generally good lies. The greens were quite good, subtle breaks with medium fast speed. I was only in one sand trap; it was a fairway trap with a good amount of sand and unfortunately a good amount of rocks as well. One person in our group mentioned that another bunker was mainly hard pan. The service was excellent. I think there were separate drink carts for the front and back, which I thought was a nice touch. The ladies working the carts were great. The only real downer was that it was hot and the round took 5.5 hours. It was a long day in the sun.
