Played 7/2 and really enjoyed the course. Played from the gold tees and found the course to play a bit shorter than i expected. The greens had subtle breaks that really needed to be read well.

The second hole is deceptive. Aim 30 yards short of the yardage given by the GPS. If you hit to the center or right of center of this FW your approach will be blocked by a huge bush.

Only downside to this course is that there would be no way to walk this course. Granted the tee shots and views are quite dramatic but i guess i like the idea that walking the course is an option.

This course had probably the hottest cart girl i have come across in awhile and she was nice and pleasant.

Played Eagle Glen on Saturday 6/20/10. First time out there. Teed off at 11 oclock.

1. First thing you notice is there a starter out there on the tee box. And he kinda rushes you. Mentioned that there is a timer on the golf cart and that if you fall behind 10 minutes you will get a visit from him. Also, that if you tipped the golf cart you are responsible. Kinda unnecessary info.

2. Tee boxes were punched but didnt affect anything.

3. I always like to know if there are coolers on the carts and yes there are, as well as gps and water stations every 6 holes or so.

4. Great pace of play, we felt a little rushed but we finished in 4.5 hours with no one in front of us.

5. fairways were good, greens played very fast i liked the challenge. Rough wasnt penalizing at all.

6. greens were the best part of the course.

7. no water on the course except hole #18.

8. Saw the cart girl and marshall plenty of times.

9. Very challenging track. Only problem is the price. $75 for weekend seems a little steep considering the prices around the area. You can play Hidden Valley and Trilogy for $50 bucks. That might be the only reason I dont come back until next year when I have another deal in the Reddot book.

The course right now can make a good golfer look pretty bad. 50 percent of my
strokes happened to be putts, shot 84 do the math, and I consider myself a good
putter. Always has been a good layout, have fun and good luck on the greens!

Played 5/12. As I drove up I saw the starter sweeping up the first tee. Knew the course would be in good shape. Cashier very cordial and helpful. Started on time (8;30) and was not pushed or had anyone ahead of us. Beverage cart seen 4 or 5 times. Tee boxes were trimmed and the majority level. Fairways not lush but always had a good lie, bunkers had good depth of sand and showed the extra effort put into their renovation. I found the greens a lot tougher than those on surrounding courses. Greens were lightly sanded and were really fast and rolled true. Just don't get above the hole. Restaurant and bar service was superb. Next time try the warm potato chips. Not my home course but it should be.

Played Saturday 5/1. Teed off at 1024am with expectation I could see the Kentucky Derby at 330pm. I did not see the race live at 330. Pace was slow. On second tee box, had one group on green, one in fairway and two groups waiting on the tee....and this was only the second hole. Marshall did a decent job increasing the pace by 8th hole. Conditions were average, but not super as some reviewed in late April. Greens rolled nicely but are thin. Repair of pitch mark was difficult because very little turf to work with. Bunkers were inconsistent at best. Extemely deep (6-8") or thin with chunks or dirt. Fairways, when I found them, seemed to be in good shape. Very windy on back nine made for real tough conditions on the way in. I still like this course, but conditions need to improve.

I've always had a soft spot for Eagle Glen but used to have doubts about the ability of the greenskeeper. Not now. I ventured there this Wednesday. Lovely day and the course was in super shape. In this time of 'returning greens', these were firm, true, manicured - just great to putt on. I'd say running at about 10. The rest of the course was in great shape too - the fairways lush and allowing the ball to sit up nicely, tee boxes almost flat (! - more work here I think) and all the staff were chirpy, attentive and welcoming.
If you've left this one off your rotation for a while - like me - go back and enjoy it. It's in great shape and at $40 online it's a steal.

Eagle Glen doesn't get it. The place is empty because they pull crap like this. It is well do c&me nted here. The course is great but as long as they insist on putting out 5somes. No way I go back anytime soon.

Played at 7:22 this morning as a 2some. Off right on time. Played the front in about 1:20. Back was a little slower but not a big deal. Maybe 1:45. Course was in great shape. Tee boxes were a little shaggy and needed to be cut. Couple of the bunkers were being maintenanced (#11). But I thought they were fine. Greens were fast and a little hard. Play to the front and plan on it releasing. I thought they rolled very well though. One of my favorite courses to play. Glad we got out early as there were 3 holes open behind us and I know there was a 5some behind that.
