Played for the first time here and if it wasn't a round taken care of by a a buddy of mine, I would have been really disappointed. I don't know what the regular green fees are here but, I couldn't see myself paying anything more than ... $20.00?

Had a tee time for 10:30AM and couldn't tee off until 40-minutes later - for whatever reason. We get to the first tee box and could barely find a level area with any grass! I also noticed that this track seems really old. There are a ton of roots (big roots) that could actually damage your sticks! Anyways, we look down the fairway from the first tee box and we see a foursome on the green, another foursome waiting for their approach and the foursome right in front of us that tee'd off. I knew it was going to be one of those days ...

This course used to have (2) 18-holes tracks. Since the problems with flooding, the US Army purchased some of the land and the course decided to combine parts of each course and make it a single 18-hole track. The new layout is seems pretty simple with relatively flat fairways and greens. Even though the greens were punched about a month ago, the ball rolled quick but, bumpy at times. Some greens still had signs of sand. The fairways also had some work done and you can really see the holes in the ground.

You can see all of the construction still going on and heavy machinery tucked away behind trees. Not the prettiest of sights but, there are a few holes that have nice picturesque settings of mountains.

I would definitely recommend this course to a beginner (high capper) due to the relatively flat layout, wide fairways and flat greens. It's kind of a bummer after playing rounds at other courses in the Corona area. This course can be seen right off the freeway at the Green River exit off of the 91 freeway.

The snack bar is located after you finish hole #10, the club house is not directly at the turn but after you finish hole #12. No sight of a cart person. Lots of slow play. One guy actually came back to re-tee his O.B. ball on a par 3. We asked him, "Playing for a lot of money?" and he replied, "No, my buddies wanted me to re-tee ..." He said this with our foursome waiting and the group right behind us also waiting.

All in all, if you're itching for a place to play in the Corona area, there are plenty more tracks to choose from. Personally, I am in no hurry to book another round here. One of the grounds keeper told me that there is more construction scheduled that will last well into January 2011.
