I was also out at Hidden Valley 10/22 in a group of 8 friends. What an awful experience. Maybe Smoothie was in the bachelor party group in front of us.

We also weren't told about the overseeding and the front tees playing ~5500 yards. Considering the highest handicap in the group was 5.3 (me), we didn't take kindly to that news.

Course was in pathetic shape.

Round took exactly 6 hours! 6 hours on a terrible, short course. Of course, when we finished I went into the Pro Shop, and one of the marshals was reclining in a chair chatting it up.

I rarely say this, but this golf course would make a really nice housing subdivision. With Eagle Glen, Trilogy, Goose Creek in the area, there is no reason to go to Hidden Valley.

Played on Saturday, 10/22 with a group of 8 friends. We were disappointed in the condition of the course and the setup. The course was muddy in many places around the course. This is puzzling since a lot of the course is on hillsides where it drain well. The whole group loves to play the ball as it lies but we find we had to play winter rules about every other hole. This place doesn't drain well Also, if you like playing a course with a lot of forced carries and blind tee and 2nd shots, then this course is for you. This is a crazy design.

Since the course was overseeded, all the tees were placed at the front of the white tees. This may the course affectively 5300 yards. Not a fun course if you like to play a long course. They should have told us this fact when bookng a tee time. All of us agree, we'll never be back.

One of my favorite tracks. The only bad part of the day was being stuck behind a foursome who wouldnt let me play through! A must if you like weekend golf, and you like fast play.

Played this course Sunday, 9-18-05, and it played rather well. Certain fairway spots pretty bad & very muddy in spots. Greens were actually in good shape, but very hard to read. Inconsistent. Some greens (3-4) in very bad condition due to hole plugs and ball marks not healing well. Also have a bad problem with yellow jackets & wasps, which become a bad distraction rather quickly. Sand traps are actually dirt and give you no chance for quality sand play.

However, fairways are swamped in some locations,not a big deal but the workers plow thru and muddy up the fairways,,greens are tough,smooth,hold shots,best we have seen them for some time. staff is as always very professional. coke at the snack bar $2.50,a rip-off. price of golf and cart is a good deal for what you get.GPS on the old carts cant be correct, just off a bit, enough to **** ya off. We will be back, great fun and a good test. really, this place is getting better every day,good value.

Played there for the first time in a few years. I always enjoyed the vistas that the course provided, so we thought we'd give it a try before it was modified. It was kind of empty for a Sunday morning, but we ended up with some slow people a few groups ahead, so the round took about 4:45 when it should have probably been closer to 4 hours. There were no marshals on the course, nor was there a starter at the first tee. The first thing that we found out in the Pro Shop was that the housing development fell through (nixed by the Norco City Council), so that there were no plans to close 9 holes at this point. Hopefully, they can take a new direction and put some improvements into the course. As previous posts said, the grass was a bit muddy in spots and the bunkers were hard as a rock. The distances on the GPS on the carts were suspect, so we had a hard time trusting them. We still enjoyed the course, but the course has some work to do to make the experience even more enjoyable.
