Oak Quarry... WOW!!!!! Excellent Shape.. Tee Boves were nice, the fairways and roughs were prestine and the greens were running smooth. They are having a OCTOBER -10 Year Anniversary Sale on tuesdays for $25..... YES $25!!!! They are also doing a daily closest to the pin on hole #14. Im definently impressed!!

Played Oak Quarry this afternoon and I do not understand why there have been some recent negative reviews. I can understand that some people would have an issue with the greens. They were very very bumpy. It was tough to make putts. I know it is said all of the time, but people need to really concentrate on making sure they repair their ball marks. It is not difficult and it only takes a few seconds.

Aside from the greens, the rest of the course is in fantastic condition. The fairways were in the best shape I have every seen them in. It usually seems to me that Goose Creek is always in the best playing conditions for this area, but I think Oak Quarry is right there with it. The rough was lush and had very few bare spots. I didn't hit the ball in any bunkers so I can't comment on them.

If you haven't been to Oak Quarry in a while or if you have never played it, make the trip. It is a fun course that is in great shape!

Played here yesterday in the morning for an incredible $49.00 which was an internet rate they honored when I called to check for tee times.

This course is in great shape for this time of year. They are planning to punch their greens and overseed the fairways late October so there is still plenty of time to get in some great golf.

Tee boxes were nice and level, a few patchy spots here and there on the fairways and the greens are fast - probably around a 9. My only complaint would be some of the bunkers that had hard packed sand along with some rocks - yes, I said rocks. Enough rocks to where you may end up damaging whichever club you choose.

The pace was fast. We finished the round in just over 4-hours and we saw the cart person on more than a few occasions. Thankfully, it was not painfully hot as in days past but rather in the low 90's. Depending on the time of year, wind can be a huge problem here and luckily for us, it was not a concern.

I read some of the online tips on how to play this course and the most important tips are how to play the greens. They have greens with multiple levels and lots of undulation. They even have greens with false fronts and tough pin locations. One of the easiest tips I remember coming across was, "when it doubt the balls rolls to the East .." The funny thing is that this course is built within a rock quarry and there are a lot of holes where you are surrounded by rocks walls and will have no sense of direction.

Note to self, next time bring a compass!

In closing, I definitely am a fan and will return to challenge "the Rock" again because I played about 10 strokes worse than normal here. Tune up the short game and work on the putting because this is one course that will not care if you can drive the ball 300+ yards.

Had seen some previous negative posts but thought course was in great shape. Greens were a little soft from watering so they didn't burn up, rolling medium fast. Always recommended.

Played here with tozerrt on a hot sunday. Really nice course - varied and unique layout carved out of the remnants of a quarry, with a lot of challenging but fair holes.

Tee boxes were perfect and level, fairways looked great and had nary a bald patch on them, rough could be punishing in places and the greens were not at all shaggy like other reviewers have stated. In fact, they were pretty tightly cut and running medium throughout and pretty smooth - tough to read however as most everything had only subtle breaks in it.

Will be back and thoroughly recommend it if you are looking for fun and interesting new places to play. Customer service was great too.

Also people have made some negative comments about the sand traps , the are a bit hard but I think that is just how they are , they dont have real fine sand it them I have no problem with that, I can see how the weather could be brutal here though, windy or hot as hell, but I was lucky didnt have to deal with either. Overall I would say you need to play this course once so you can say you did

Played Oak Quarry for the 2nd time on 8/4. Came out as a single and used my Birdie Savings card for a $41 round! Got to be the best deal on the card. I love this course! The customer service is absolutely top notch. You feel like a country club member out there. The course itself is in beautiful condition and with the mild summer we're having, it was in the upper 80's. The only complaint I have is the sand traps. Unfortunately they are in piss-poor condition, and both the employees I asked about the conditions forewarned me about them. Wish the grounds crew could get these under control...they'd have a top-notch course then.

Played yesterday. After reading the last couple reviews, I was a little scared to play. I was happy to see the course was in great shape. The greens were running smooth and much faster than the last time I played here. The fairways were in good shape, just very wet (they have to soak them due to the heat in the afternoon). The bunkers all kinda sucked ass, but whatever they were still playable. In my opinion, the course in in very good shape and if you play early enough you can zip through your round with minimal waiting. We teed at 630 and finished in 3.5 hours. Hole 14 is awesome, a must play for anyone that hasn't. The course sits perfectly in the land, the designers did a great job with this one.

I will not return until I read they have improved. Management:PLEASE, PLEASE GET YOUR GREENS TO AT LEAST AVERAGE.
