Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!Got a Great Special $57 to play Coyote Hills today. Me and my golfing buddy were very excited to go play.. After coming home I was like Ehhhhh...... We were lucky to get that price because we didn't think it was very good. We really can't believe people pay the regular price they do for this course, when there are way better options out there. So here goes my schpeeeel of the course. We were the first tee time out so it was crisp out. It started with the tee boxes which looked like they were maturing from re sodding, the rough was very thick and then bare on spot's. The fairways were very soggy in spots and thin in spot's. The green's were rolling very nice. It just looked as if they took care of certain holes because some holes looked as if they did not belong to the people who were taking care of the rest of the course. The sand traps were very nice, a couple of them I noticed were watered. The only part I really did not like was cart path only because this course DOES NOT have distances on the course other than the line on the cart path. This course is very tight so if you are not accurate off the tee good luck!!! No Par 5's on the front!! We finished right under 4 hours, and were happy to be golfing.
Played here in a tournament today. It was my first time here. Service right off the bat was noticeable. Tee Boxes were descent, but the fairways were very dry along with the fairways. Bunkers were perfect. The greens were running pretty true and were in good condition. The weather was awesome for mid November. It reminded me of Spanish Bay. This Course was in NO WAY any part of a links course. If I was not playing in a special tournament I do not see myself playing here for the price. Great experience and challenge. Thanks for a great day! Can't complain it was a beautiful day!
Oak Quarry... WOW!!!!! Excellent Shape.. Tee Boves were nice, the fairways and roughs were prestine and the greens were running smooth. They are having a OCTOBER -10 Year Anniversary Sale on tuesdays for $25..... YES $25!!!! They are also doing a daily closest to the pin on hole #14. Im definently impressed!!
LOL.. I didnt even know this course was in here... I went here because it's down the street and there twilight rate is $10 ON FRIDAY, and I wanted to pound the ball after watching the rained out Ryder Cup. Boy was I in for one.... Started off good walked up to the starter and got right out... straight to the tee box. Me and one guy got out, and thought hey were gonna get thru this quick.. LOL Boy I didnt know what was slower, the green's or the pace of play. We caught up to 2 foursomes on one tee box and we ended up being a 5 some by the fourth hole. Mind you this is a 9 hole course. The course is all Kikuya grass... tee box fairway, rough and green.. WILD!!!!!!!! 3+ hours later and never going back. Why do I do that to myself?? I knew it was going to happen. LOL.. It reminded me again why I drive out of city to play. Practice center next time I feel like pounding the ball.
My High School Home course looked in great condition!! YES I ONLY said looked....Why you say??? Well it is a monday today and I got up and got to Los Verdes at 545 in the morning to only be the 3rd on the list as a single.. I think wooohooo, GREAT!! 1 hour later I go to check where I was, still third on the list and come to find out 20 minutes behund on tee times.. After watching 3 different 5 somes go out all players playing from the Blues and cannot even hit there drives over 150 yards nor straight. ALL 15 people!!! Ridiculous!! Wonder why they are behind because they put out members who think they own the course and move SLOW AS MOLASSES!!! People always ask why I travel to play. Because I travel 45 minutes to pay less, be in a smaller group and finish in 4 hrs. not 5 1/2 plus hour rounds.. Ohhh and outta town prices are with carts. If you are going to play Los Verdes, first see if you can even get a descent tee time in advance, and if you do a wait list bring a sleeping bag you will need it.. It is VERY SAD this GREAT GOLF COURSE is poorly managed and not run properly. I will PASS on this course 9 times out of 10. This is absolutely not the first second ot third time this has happened.
WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!! I have been getting there e-mail special and $19 bucks got me to drive out and play. The course is in GREAT CONDITION..... Fairways are plush and the greens are awesome. Some greens just need people to repair divots. This course is way underrated. I give a big thumbs up. It get's hot at times, but I have played it 6 times in 2 months, and I drive from Los Angeles.
