Simple. Adding to tmikery, mags below, greens were very good with varying speeds and softness depending on the watering.
Fairways- good, lush(at times thin) with some areas of bare spots and a lot of animal damage to turf.
Rough was good and varying lengths, but lush.
I did witness some casual water in several green side bunkers.
We had an easy 4 hour round (letting two groups through), and loved the layout.
Challenge, and customer service were great. Weekdays-absolutely worth the green fee.
Really, check out the grill and bar too: YUM.

Green side bunkers plush except for the one that my ball buried in the face. Oh yyyy, had a great time. Nice clubhouse and good grub.

Played here for the first time yesterday. After years of going across the fwy to Oak Valley, and never wanting to venture over. Boy was that a MISTAKE of mine! I really enjoyed it here!! The staff was very gracious and courteous. Being my first outing there..they steered me in the correct direction to everything, without making it seem like I was a bother to any of them.

The course layout itself is fantastic, it was very challenging for my first time out. Thankfully the people I was paired with were playing from the forward tees (white) i didn't have to use any long clubs to get myself into too much trouble. There were a few points where i didn't know where the course was headed and i hit my ball OB but, that is all apart of the learning curve at any new course.

I will most definitely be back!

Layout: outstanding, challenging and fun.
Green fee: absolutely worth it.
Lots of water stations, drinks cart passes and rest stops.
Great prac-fac, nice staff, superb grill.

Having said we would return, we in fact, did; today 1020 tee time paired up with another 2 ball behind many fours. 4+35 round. Still love the layout, really enjoyed the experience firing to the greens (see more comments previous post below), which are brilliantly designed, soft, quick, only a few bumps. Work is being done on many holes to the fairway bunkering. Rest of the course lives up to high standards throughout. Lush green side rough. Really a must play.

A FUN course in GOOD condition, with GREAT greens.
First timers for the both of us at Legends, at 0945 tee time between fours; finished 4+20. Love the layout. Adding to the superb words below, fairway sand is more like waste areas. Greenside bunkering excellent. Greens were great; on a Schmidt/Curly green, just because you are on it, does not mean you will hole out in two!!!! Good manicuring throughout. Nice clubhouse/grill and big prac-fac; small bucket for $6. Nice staff, marshalers, and drinks cart. Had a golfnow.com 'Hot Deal' $31.
We will return.

Played Sunday 6-10. Had an Underpar voucher for $64.00 for two with a cart. This is the second time I've played here and liked it even better this time.
Started with our bags being picked up at our car. Checkin was smooth and quick.
We got there a little late so couldn't use the range but I will note that it is all grass and looked to be in fine shape.
Got out right on time (9:30) and finished in 4 hrs & 15 minutes. Had to wait a couple of times but we were a twosome playing behind a foursome.
Tee boxes were mostly level and divot free.
Fairways were very nice never had a thin lie. The rough was not very long but it was tough to get out of. Really thick and grabbed the club.
Bunkers had ample sand and didn't see any rocks.
The greens were great! Smooth, medium fast , and almost mark free.
Overall I like the layout. Challenging, not tricked out and fair. Really secluded feeling even though there are houses around a few of the holes. A little noisy when the trains went by but not bad. We even saw a bobcat along the edge of one fairway.
Overall a very nice round I will be going back.

Played Memorial Monday. Course has come a long way since last I was here. The conditions are returning to its former glory. Fairways are looking great. Rough although not that deep was very thick and difficult to hit out of. Was in 7 bunkers on the day. 3 were hard packed and the other 4 were soft and fluffy. The greens were pretty slow for what I would expect but they warned us they had been verticut a week earlier. Only saw 1 green that it really showed but I figure that was why they were slow. I must complement the new owners on all the hard work done to get this course back in shape. Looking forward to playing here again in a month or so to see if the greens speed up.

Played on Memorial day. Pleasantly surprised. The course is in MUCH better condition than last year. Everything's looking pretty good. The fairways had a few brown spots but overall were nicely groomed. They didn't roll as quickly as they appeared they would. The greens were also nice- but slow. (the practice green was FAST - which made it even more strange that the 'real' greens weren't.) The rough was LUSH, THICK, and deadly!! They know they have issues with the bunkers and are addressing them. About half are nice, the other hardpacked and wet. Some of the tee boxes had some leveling issues but nothing terrible. However time management was AWFUL!! Either they booked too many or aren't aware of how to manage the course. There were THREE groups on the second tee!! Saw the marshal once, on 10...not sure he did anything to help the situation. Made for a 5+ hr round! Only two water stations on the course. BRING WATER and a cooler. The Snack Shack at the turn is closed. The second time we saw the cart girl was on 9 at 12:30 and she had no sandwiches. Since this is an out and back course you have no other choices. But she did listen to us and brought us back out sandwiches on 14!! Bless her! I'll happily play here again.
