Played Legends for the first time 10/9. It was a great track for both my wife and myself. We are returning to play Champions this week. This is one of the Inland Empire's nicest facilities.

i think choppo must be a pro or just playig from the wrong set of tees. if you hit 3 wood then half wedge you should be on the long drive circuit. this cours is long from the back tees, almost 7500 ... Continue »

i think choppo must be a pro or just playig from the wrong set of tees. if you hit 3 wood then half wedge you should be on the long drive circuit. this cours is long from the back tees, almost 7500 yrds to be exact. the blacks are over 6800 yards. this course needs driver hit off the tee on almost every hole. i am a 4 and can it pretty well and this is a test of golf.

I have to agree with choppo.....The 1st is driveable. The first par 5 is a joke,you have to lay up off the tee.......across the freeway is a much better track!!!!!!

Left LA at 5: 00 am. The night before had plans of playing Oak Valley. After our round we kicked outselves for not playing Landmark's Oak Valley.

The good about legends. The course is in great shape. The range is great and the pitching area is a nice touch. Even after a top dressing the greens rolled true. Also, they have a big handsome clubhouse, with lotion and mouthwash in the men's room.

The bad. After coming off #18 I expected to see a Hyatt hotel instead of the Clubhouse. This is a resort type of course. Make it nice for the guests. All juiced up. I Can't respect a course too much if I am having to take a five wood off the tee. Narrow landing areas on the front. On the par 5's I would hit a relaxed three wood off the tee and still find myself only about 185 away. The sand in the bunkers was wet and hard. The good thing is that you don't have to bother raking the traps because they are so hard that they don't leave footprints. Also, the front has a par three that is 88 yards from the blues. Downhill, at that. Easy bird. But, it is like cheating. This is a big track of land and the designer made the least of it. The name says it all, the legends (meaning gramps will love it). The cart girl deserves mention. She was always around, almost too much.

The back is a little better. The tee shot opens up a little more and I was able to take out the driver on a few holes. The starter in the clubhouse was unaccomidating and unfriendly. Wouldn't allow us to use a coupon for two players. My friend paid full fee.

I hear Champions is a better course. Couldn't get on because of a tourney. Might try that one, some day. However, it will be hard to pass up on Landmark's Oak Valley, which is a man's course. A true test. Frankly, I got kind of bored lashing 3 woods down the throat of this course and then having little half wedges into the greens.

I had to give it good scores. Behind the numbers, is a different story. I would'nt play it again, even with the coupon.

This course plays long and difficult. The rolling fairways make this course fun to play but the large greens will test your putting stroke, they play extremely fast with a break on every putt. The bunkers are beautiful. This course will test your shot and decision making. A definite "Must Play".

Played there in a.m. on 7-27-03. Excellent course and facilities. It is a solid track with a good variety of holes. A very fair and stiff test of golf. Very deep bunkers all over the course, and the greens roll fast and true with significant contour. You're not going to roll a lot of balls up there; high, soft landings are required. A top SoCal track.
