Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii! These two tracks are TRUE gems of the so cal area!
I feel like im playing a private club back east somewhere(minus the smog in the summer).Although i do admit, there is not much let up in either of these courses. The babe is much more challenging off the tee. The ike is just brutal long! I feel the course rewards good shots and kills you if you hit bad ones......score well here, you will score well anywere. As for cart path ONLY till spring......kinda sucks but the way i look at it ......get some exercise!!!!

WOW........I have sworn off this place for the last 10 years but now this place is in the best shape i have EVER seen. The greens were very good and sneaky trickey....running about an 11. The fairways and tee boxes once hard clay with very little grass are now lush. Good shape to all of the holes and the course plays much longer and harder than its weak scga rating. This place is a gem!!!!!!!
Great people.... great setting.... fun course.... BUT with costa mesa and san juan stepping up BIG time with there course conditioning, I have watched this course over the last year or so really go backwards. They need to really step up the care of the golf course
son of alawyer.... most tracks right now are a little below par , its the end of a long summer and they are getting ready to overseed.
I have to agree with choppo.....The 1st is driveable. The first par 5 is a joke, you have to lay up off the tee.......across the freeway is a much better track!!!!!!
This place is what EVERY greenskeeper in so cal should model course condition from. The greens here are always perfect, and the course is nice.....get out early and you will finish in good time
Great shape! Some thin hard spots on the new holes. The bunkers are FINALLY good , no more wet cement, and its the best ive seen the greens in a while.
i hope we are not preaching to the choir.the management should read these reviews........all o.c.courses except talega seem to be like what aibob901 is saying......Crappy service for ALOT of $$$$$$$
I dont understand how anyone can say anything bad about this course!!For a new course it is a great layout . The greens are some of the best ive putted on, the bunkers are in good shape and they really treat you well, unlike most courses these days. The thing that sucks about o.c. is there are not many GOOD tracks that are consistant from the course layout to the service,$30-$100 most of em suck.
Well said!!!!!!!
They really need to fix the greens They have been too slow and bumpy for the last year
I agree.....what IS up with the greens . tooo slow , they used to never be like this. They need to get em quicker again . i havent played the course because of it!!!!
