Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!Played last week. Very accomodating starter got us out ahead of our tee time. Always enjoy playing here. Front nine was gorgeous condition. Starting on 10, all of the greens had scalloped edges where mowers had scalped the grass and it had been covered by fine sand. Possibly to expand green sizes in the future? If anyone can explain this to me please do. Outside of the aesthetics, these areas still putted fairly true. High winds added a few strokes to my back nine, not the greens. Going back tomorrow to see how things are coming in.
I had to play this course after all I have heard about it. It met all my expectations except for the quality of the greens. They were very soft and torn up. Every other aspect of the course, from the layout and scenery, to the fairways, sand and tee boxes, deserves the praise they regularly receive on this site. I will definitely return.
Played for the twilight rate of $30 after noon. Great value. Course condition was superb, although pace was a little slow. Quite a stiff wind in your face off #10. Made it play like 600 yards. Hit driver, 3 wood, 3 wood. Fantastic views of the valley from several of the raised tees. Will definitely be back.
Course is in terrible condition. It was like playing in a swamp. They have a real drainage problem here. There was standing water on the fairways at 10:30 am, and even a small lake in one of the greenside collection areas. After what I had heard about this course, I was extremely disappointed. My foursome left the course after 9 holes.
Fairways were in excellent condition. This must be because it was cart path only, which they failed to tell me when I made the reservation. The greens were very damaged from players who don't repair their all marks. I guess I expect too much when it comes to respecting the course and the game, or too many people expect too little. Aside from these two criticisms, the course was a great layout, in great condition for this hot time of year.
Played Legends for the first time 10/9. It was a great track for both my wife and myself. We are returning to play Champions this week. This is one of the Inland Empire's nicest facilities.
