Played today 12/25 at 12. Tee boxes are pretty good, some need to be mowed. Fairways are dormant, but ball sits well in most spots. Rough is hit or miss. Greens were great. Bunkers were poor. Got on for 21 dollars which made it a great deal for the course, would definitely play again for that rate.

Played my GK Cup match here today with zachary and we had fun despite kind of gloomy weather out there. It's been quite a few years since I last played Redhawk, but it is one of my favorite SoCal courses. I especially love all of the par-3s. Each one is completely different and fun/challenging in their own ways. Some crazy green complexes here, so it always pays to be on the right level or at least below the hole whenever you can.

I knew from the last review that the course was pretty much dormant. The fairways were completely dormant. It provided some extra roll on drives and some British Open style run-up opportunities in front of the greens. The turf, though dried out and thin, was consistent and not bad at all to hit from. The rough was a bit more hit and miss. Some areas very green and lush and other areas more clumpy/patchy. Some dried out/dormant parts of the rough, as well. The greens were pretty nice overall. Playing a little softer today with all the rain, but still rolled pretty quickly on putts (not lightning fast as you'll sometimes find here, but enough to still make those downhill, over-the-shelf putts plenty terrifying). The coots had taken over the 8th and 18th greens and those were both unfortunately pretty covered with droppings. I was in one fairways bunker and it was pretty thin. I was in a greenside bunker later on the same hole and it wasn't bad at all, with just enough sand to get the job done.

We paid $55 here, which isn't too bad for a primetime round on a Sunday out here. Though dormant, it's still very playable. Just aesthetically not as nice today as when this course is in good shape on a beautiful Temecula day.

Played here on 11/23 and the fairways are dormant and thin but firm so I was getting more roll (which I need). Greens are excellent, smooth and fast yet still "holding" the ball. Sand traps are terrible, need some SAND. Customer service is excellent. Pace of play was a little slower than normal.

Took a day off from work to play Red Hawk for the first time. Ended up replaying since the first round (8:30am T.T.) only took 3.5 hours. Second round took 4.5 hours. The fairways are were and mostly brown, but there wasn't a lot of "hard pan" areas. It's VERY playable. The greens were GREAT. They were the highlight of the course. The guys we matched up with told us that they were faster than usual probably due to a recent tournament. The were rolling true, quick, and only had minimal ball marks. I really enjoyed the course layout. Just the right amount of dog legs and bunkers. The par 3s weren't very long, but the multi-tier greens and elevation changes made it interesting. Too bad it's over 1.5 hour drive from me, otherwise I would definitely play it regularly.

The greens and fairways are in great condition BUT they are punching/tearing up the first 10-15 feet of the rough. Lots of bare spots, clumps of grass, etc and it was very difficult to play a shot from the rough. We ended up playing lift, clean and place in the rough. Never did find out what they are doing. Other than that, Redhawk is in great condition. As always, excellent customer service!

I played Redhawk on Monday, October 15th as a single. Got paired up with a couple other walk-ons and teed off around 9:30. I'm always impressed with the staff at Redhawk, and kudos goes out to the starter especially (I believe his name was Carl). I always appreciate a starter who is welcoming and hospitable, but MOST importantly, runs a tight ship. I also want to point out that Redhawk always has very present and diligent course marshalls, which to me, is so important. I watched foursome after foursome (and one fivesome) tee off ahead of us and we still finished the round just under 4 hours, which rocks.

Onto the course. I've posted here before that I think Redhawk is an outstanding layout. Obviously, that doesn't change. What I did want to comment on was the condition of the course. I think the course is in fantastic shape. I understand that this time of year a lot of maintenance gets done, so some of that was in play, but the fairways were great, the greens absolutely perfect (especially as they dried on as the day went) and the rough was just that. It should be mentioned that the tee boxes had been verticut and overseeded, so they were really pretty beat up, but then again, you're hitting off a tee so who really cares as long as you have a flat lie, right?

I have no idea when Redhawk is planning on punching their greens, but go play this course now. I do know that Redhawk does more frequent micro-punches (if that's the real term) so maybe they rarely do the major punching and sanding. Either way, I think this is one of the best courses in the Inland Empire and a great value.

Played here on 10/3 and was paired up with two members. Not many players on a Wed at 7:30 AM. Fairways had some wet spots because of the excessive heat this summer otherwise were in great shape. Greens were very soft and a little on the slow side again because of the heat. It was in the lo 90's when we finished just before Noon. Traps has some puddles and were lacking sands. Staff was very helpful getting me paired up. RedHawk is a great deal for the $$.

good track to play. tee boxes are in excellent condition and cannot complain about pace of play. Course had many soft muddy spots, perhaps from recent rains, flood or whatever (which is odd considering we're in the middle of 90+ degree summer). This water also soften and slowed the greens up, leaving many pitch marks. Luckily, golf patrons were kind enough to repair most of their ball marks. Challenging course from the tips, especially playing it for the first time. Aside from the drive, left very satisfied with the experience.
